Bethany Green Lake is committed to making the invisible God visible through the testimony of our daily lives.
"Our desire and commitment is to grow together as a community so that we are increasingly rooted in the life of Christ." –Richard Dahlstrom, Senior Pastor
Bethany Community Church is a diverse group of people whose primary aim is to give expression to the hope found in Christ, and to make that hope visible through our life together, our worship, and our service to the world. These elements combine to create an environment where individually, as families, and as a church, we can know transformation, and better represent the spirit and heart of Jesus.
Bethany Green Lake meets on Sunday mornings for worship at 8am, 9:30am, 11am, and 6pm.
In addition to Bethany Green Lake, we also have five other locations nearby: Bethany West Seattle, Bethany North in Shoreline, Bethany Northeast in Lake City, Bethany Eastside in Kirkland, and Bethany Ballard.
Bethany Community Church was founded in 1916 as a small fellowship Ballard. Today, about 2,500 people regularly attend Sunday worship in six locations.

churchbcc.org Alpha Course walks you through the fundamentals of the Christian faith in a way that allows space to ask questions, disagree, and explore with others what it's all about. It’s a low-key place to meet others at Bethany who are asking some of the same questions.

Having dropped more than four feet of rain already, Hurricane Harvey has broken the record for the greatest amount of rainfall by a single tropical storm or hurricane in U.S History. It has also wreaked unprecedented damage on Houston as well as neighboring communities. However, the reality is that this is not the only disaster currently affecting our world. The global refugee crisis continues to displace millions worldwide. Unusually heavy monsoon rains over the last several weeks have killed over 1,000 people across India, Nepal, and Bangladesh. And persistent food insecurity across Africa means that millions could die in the coming months.
Our calling as followers of Christ is to respond to these crises whenever we can, embodying the reign of Christ, and making the invisible God visible. And the good news is that because of your continued generosity, Bethany will do just that by making a $10,000 dollar donation through our Disaster Relief Fund to the work of two different ministries working on the ground to respond to these disasters.
World Relief - Refugee crisis. Food crisis. And even Hurricane Harvey disaster response.
Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church - 90 Local mission partners that will be present beyond the initial crisis in Houston and the surrounding area to help facilitate and lead the work of restoration and renewal amongst the most vulnerable.
Join us as we continue to pray for those affected by this devastating storm, and for the ministries and organizations that are on the ground serving those in need.
From our Rwanda team, who returned a few days ago: "We danced, played, reflected, learned, and danced some more at World Relief Rwanda's annual staff retreat! As our partnership grows deeper, we look forward to our shared vision for ongoing transformation in Rwanda and Seattle."
Stay tuned for details of the Rwanda Sharing Event, where you'll be able to hear stories and see photos of the beautiful people of Rwanda, as the team shares what they saw and what they learned.
Family movie night starts in an hour! Hope to see you there!
