Sanctuary Church

We're young and old people who are trying to faithfully follow Jesus. Sunday Services: 10am @ Taproot Theatre

We meet at Taproot Theatre (204 North 85th Street
Seattle, WA 98103) for worship every Sunday morning at 10am. Everyone is welcome. Nursery is available in our church offices (8515 Greenwood Ave N), and the rest of the kids join them there for Sunday School half-way through the service.

Sanctuary is a church in the Pacific Northwest Classis of the Christian Reformed Church in North America. Our offices are located next to Razzi's Pizza @ 8515 Greenwood Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103.

We also operate the Green Bean Coffeehouse @ 8525 Greenwood Ave N, Seattle WA, 98103 (also where we receive our mail).

I saw the sign, and it opened up my eyes!
Thanks to Drew, Jeff, Becky, Keith and Bob for helping hang our new banner!

[06/28/17]   Our dear friends and colleagues, Tim & Coté Soerens, were injured in a car wreck in Mexico late Saturday night. They just touched down in Seattle, and for that were grateful!

As we launch into a sermon series on Daniel - Mark spoke about Daniel's convictions, his courage in drawing a line because of the priority of his relationship with God. This wonderful article about Daniel speaks of him as "Faithful Compromiser." But how could he be one of conviction and compromise? Is that possible? Is that actually one of the lessons to be learned from Daniel? How do we do that? Enjoy!

"We need new Daniels. Daniel, not Benedict, is the patron saint of our apocalyptic age."

To engage in the public square where militant secularism rages or retreat is the question of the day. Robert Joustra and Alissa Wilkinson in their book How to Survive the Apocalypse: Zombies, Cylons, Faith & Politics at the End of the World, find the answer in Daniel, a prophet who profited from an apocalypse by his strategic sense of loyalty.

Goodbye 8515. You've been good to us. Looking forward to children's ministry in Taproot Theatre and office space with Urban Hands and The Upper Crust Catering! It's good to have partners in the gospel in the neighborhood. #blessed

We can all have a huge impact on the future if we invest in kids today... Josh Shipp was a foster kid, class clown, a rebel without a clue, a trouble maker. He was written off, kicked out, and every...

Thanks to everyone who helped moving day be a big success! We realize moving all these bookings was no small feat!!!!

[03/12/17]   Don't forget to spring forward!
Which means set your clocks ahead.
Which means we lose an hour.
Which means church starts earlier, even though it will still be 9am for Full-Life Discipleship, and 10am for worship.
See you bright and early!

Sanctuary is gearing up for an exciting transition that will allow us to have our children's ministry in the same building as we worship in...YAY! This also means our church office will be moving and we have a fair amount of furniture and 'stuff' that we won't be taking. If you see something you'd like, let us know and we'll put a sticker on it for you...thank offerings to Sanctuary would be gladly accepted in exchange...:)
