There is no better way to celebrate #NationalPieDay than with this Peanut Butter Pie recipe. You only need a handful of ingredients and it's super easy to make!
1 Ultimate Pie Crust spread into a pie plate (see Ultimate Pie Crust Recipe in dessert section of recipes)
1 1/2 cups raw almond butter, homemade
2 large avocados or 3 small ones
3 tablespoons raw carob powder
2 1/2 tablespoons raw cocoa powder
1 cup pure maple syrup
Place almond butter in pie shell. In a food processor with the S blade, combine avocados, carob powder, cocoa powder and maple syrup. Blend until creamy. If a richer chocolate flavor is desired, add more cocoa powder. If a sweeter flavor is desired, add more maple syrup.
Pour chocolate mixture on top of almond butter. If desired, crumble 2 tablespoons leftover pie crust on top of the pie for garnish. Place in freezer overnight and serve!

This delicious and healthy Cinnamon Honey Butter Popcorn recipe is all you need to celebrate!
6 cups freshly popped popcorn (about 1/2 cup dry)
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons honey
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch of sea salt
Melt together the honey, butter, cinnamon and salt. Pour over popcorn and mix until well coated. Enjoy!

Have you been searching for the perfect winter soup? This is it! Sausage, Sweet Potato and Kale Soup:
1 pound sweet Italian sausage, casings removed
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 large yellow onion, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and chopped into 1/2 inch cubes, about 3 cups
4 cups chicken stock
1 bay leaf
1 bunch kale, stems removed and chopped
Heat a large pot over medium high heat. Cook the sausage in the olive oil, breaking it up with the back of a wooden spoon until almost cooked through, about 5 minutes. Add in the onion, salt and pepper, and cook until translucent, another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add in the garlic and cook until fragrant, 30 seconds. Add in the sweet potatoes, chicken stock and bay leaf. Cook partially covered over medium heat until the sweet potatoes are tender, 20 minutes.
Remove the bay leaf and add in the kale. Continue to cook over medium heat for 5 minutes until the kale is tender. Turn off heat, taste for salt and pepper, add more if necessary. Serve warm!

3 1/2 cups almond flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup coconut oil, melted and cooled
1/2 cup honey
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups dark chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. In a mixing bowl, whisk together almond flour, baking soda and salt to remove lumps.
In a separate bowl, use an electric mixer to beat together cooled coconut oil, honey, eggs and vanilla until combined. Add in almond flour mixture and beat until fully incorporated. Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop heaping tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches in between. Bake 8-10 minutes or until the tops begin to brown, rotating the baking sheets halfway through. Let cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes; transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Repeat with remaining dough.

Don’t let the hard exterior of this nut scare you. Beneath that dark brown shell and bitter skin, the meat is creamy and rich. Chestnuts can be boiled, roasted or pureed and are great in both savory dishes and desserts. Fresh chestnuts come in a variety of sizes, with the biggest being the most desirable and sought after. It can be difficult to judge the quality of a chestnut from its outside appearance. If possible, cut one open and check for plump, meaty flesh. Chestnuts may also be purchased canned, dried or ground, as in chestnut flour. Fresh chestnuts can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week.

1 cup paleo-friendly almond butter
1/3 cup maple syrup
2 tablespoons ghee
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. In a large bowl, whisk together the almond butter, syrup, egg, ghee, and vanilla. Stir in the cocoa powder and baking soda.
Pour the batter into a 9-inch baking pan. Bake for 20-23 minutes, until the brownie is done, but still soft in the middle.

1 14 oz. can full fat coconut milk
2 cups light coconut milk
4 egg yolks
1/2 cup maple syrup
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Extra nutmeg for serving
Combine all ingredients in the basin of a blender. Blend on high until well combined and frothy. Chill until cold, then serve topped with nutmeg.

Bottom Layer Ingredients:
3/4 cup dates, soft
1 cup pecans
2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Top Layer Ingredients:
1/3 cup coconut butter, softened
1/3 cup pumpkin puree
2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
1/4 cup maple syrup
Combine dates, pecans, coconut oil, and cinnamon in a food processor. Process until a ball starts to form and "dough" becomes sticky.
Divide dough between 10 cups and press down to even dough out and flatten.
Combine the coconut butter, pumpkin puree, coconut oil and maple syrup. Spoon over date mixture and even out.
Place in the freezer for 1 hour or until frozen. Store in the refrigerator.

Trade in your regular mashed potatoes for Sweet Potato and Cauliflower Mash this year. We don't think you will be disappointed!
2 pounds sweet potatoes
1 pound cauliflower florets
3 tablespoons almond milk
1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh chopped parsley for garnish
Peel and cut sweet potato into 1 1/2-inch chunks.
In a large pot with steam basked, steam sweet potato and cauliflower with 1 inch of water in the bottom of the pot. They will be ready in about 10-12 minutes, or when fork tender.
Place in a large bowl and mash the potato and cauliflower with the milk. Stir in the Greek yogurt, garlic powder, salt and pepper. If too thick, add more milk 1 tablespoon at a time, until you reach the desired consistency. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serves 4-6.
