These pictures were taken at the Eastern Washington Survivor Day. This is the process we use instead of interviews. This is a selection day event where Local 72 and Local 478 Apprenticeship program is looking for applicants that are strong, hard working, and motivated for the cement mason industry. We picked 13 contestants out of 30 and will put them through a 2 week pre-apprenticeship and if they pass will be brought into the union as cement mason apprentices. Thank you to all the Cement Mason Journeyman that came out to judge the contestants, the chefs that cooked up the BBQ, and all the workers that set up and tore down the event.
