Professional photography services by Rocky Salskov.

While struggling with the fact that Rocky was not like most of the other Architecture students at the University of Washington, he discovered a wonderful photography class instructed by Christian Staub. A brilliant man from Switzerland, Straub understood the relationship of art, design, painting, photography, and how to blend these into a meaningful life. Through him Rocky became fascinated with the many aspects of design, lighting, color, and studied everything he could find on the subject.

After graduation, he realized that, if he wanted to become a successful photographer, he would need to go back for more education. Fortunately, Rocky was accepted for advanced standing at the Art Center of Design in Pasadena, CA. This was a very good decision, for it gave him a strong foundation, and the self-confidence to create an exciting life in the field.

After 3 more years in college, he was about to finish ,when he was very blessed to be hired by Albert Watson. Albert, Rocky feels,
is one of the most significant fashion and portrait photographers of the last 50 years. He was a great inspiration to the endless possibilities in the field. It was also great fun, when he was able to assist Helmet Newton on a shoot of Orson Wells for a Japanese scotch, while Albert was out of town, and also while traveling with Albert doing editorial shoots throughout the country.

From these and many other experiences, he has learned to see, and create images that are quite unique for the many clients he has enjoyed working with.

Whooooooosh !

Oh, for those of you who didn't know: Parker, my main man, buddy, assistant, and more . . . passed away several months ago. Here is a shot of him while we were working at the Hilton hotel. He was a great companion . . . miss him a bunch !

Heading down to Vegas tomorrow for some fun and doing a fashion shoot. It will be exciting using Vegas's glitter and lights as a backdrop. Expect some cool, new imagery in the near future ! Any suggestions for fun things to see or do ? Email me ! -

Here are some photos from a fun shoot with a great designer, Britt Rynearson !

Here's a fun shoot I did for Kristi Youngquist for the Sea Gals tryouts. If you ever need an athletic dancer for a photo shoot, she'd be great!

Hey there, I have been working on some new art work,"Ladies In Waiting", which is a combination of models and mannequin and this is my latest one . . . . it is interesting how the visual attraction to an inanimate object can be similar to the real thing ! Chuckle !
