A Tour of Seattle's Bookstore Cafes

Seattle is famous for its coffee and its bookstores...and sometimes the marriage of both! Ada's Technical Books & Cafe and Little Oddfellows Cafe & Bar (in Elliott Bay Book Company) are worth a visit any day. We know what restaurants do for bookstores. But what can bookstores do for restaurants? We visit Raconteur, Little Oddfellows, and Ada's Technical Books in pursuit of an answer.

Last year, as part of LGBTQ Pride month, Amtrak announced a partnership with GSBA - Greater Seattle Business Association to launch a contest for LGBTQ couples to win a "honeymoon" trip from Seattle to San Francisco on Amtrak's Coast Starlight train.

We're so excited that the winning couple—Scott and Lance—will be embarking on their trip tomorrow! We wish them both a FABULOUS time aboard Amtrak and during their time in the Bay Area and look forward to sharing their experience with our friends and followers! Congratulations! #Amtrak #GSBA #travelgayseattle #honeymoontrain #honeymoon #lgbtq #travel

Cone and Steiner Will Open a New Location Downtown

We can't wait to see the new Cone & Steiner downtown! Their general stores are excellent for visitors to sample local favorites and get great Seattle/PNW gifts. This local general store chainlet is bringing breakfast sandwiches, toast (yes, of the avocado variety), and ice cream scoops to First Avenue.
