What is Love? - Capitol Hill Times

It was a powerful night of stories, solidarity, and hope at the first of our two part series of events, "Love Is Action: What is Love?" Grateful for our panelists, Aneelah Afzali from MAPS-AMEN (American Muslim Empowerment Network), Chitra Charles Hanstad from World Relief Seattle, and Rabbi Jaclyn Fromer Cohen from Temple De Hirsch Sinai for their openness, their passion, and their courageous work. Thanks to our partners at Capitol Hill Community Council and Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce for co-hosting! Save the date for the 2nd part of the series, "Love Is Action: What Is Action?". Love is Action: What Is Love? was simply a delight yesterday. We talked with Aneelah Afzali from MAPS AMEN, Chitra Hanstad from World Relief and Rabbi Jaclyn Cohen from Temple De Hirsch Sinai. It was refreshing to hear from 3 incredible women faith leaders and share together a deep care for others which crosses our faith traditions.

Thank you to everyone who joined us!

Hey Everyone! As you may know, First Cov has a committee working on future development of the Summit Building! As we are dreaming and putting plans in motion, we are meeting with a local architect who will be helping us to design our space. To help us do this, there are two things we would love input on.

1. SURVEY: Would you be willing to print and fill out this survey and return it to us Sunday OR save and send to Paul or Ellie via email? Thanks! (There will also be some printed copies at church on Sunday as well).

2. PINTEREST BOARD: For those of you who are a part of the social media platform, Pinterest, the architect has also asked that we pin images that we find inspiring for any reason, that we think might represent our congregation, our community, our faith, or simply spaces we love. If you want to pin items to this board, please send Paul or Ellie a request to be added (with your email address or Pinterest name).

Remember to change your clocks for daylight savings this weekend!
