On Friday, NMDOH reiterated the appropriate sequence of COVID-19 vaccine distribution.
New Mexico is currently in the first portion of Phase 1B - people 75 years and older. Soon, the state will expand vaccinations to those with qualifying medical conditions. Health care professionals and other workers in Phase 1A remain eligible for vaccination.

The website offers key up-to-the-day statistics about the state’s vaccination effort, including vaccines received in New Mexico, vaccines administered, vaccines administered in the last seven days, and total registrants to New Mexico’s vaccine registration website, vaccinenm.org. NMDOH announced the state’s first case of the B117 coronavirus variant. A male in his 60’s has the variant; he is associated with travel to the UK in December. He is currently recovering from very mild illness; no hospitalization was required. To this point, DOH has identified no close contacts within the state.

The New Mexico Department of Health today released its distribution plan for Phases 1B, 1C, and 2 for the COVID-19 vaccine. That plan is available here: NMDOH COVID-10 Vaccine Information: http://ow.ly/VET750D3TSv
The Department also announced that New Mexico has officially moved into Phase 1B of the vaccination effort. This means that vaccine will be available to New Mexicans in the following sequence:
>Individuals 75 years of age and older
>Individuals 16 or older with underlying medical conditions that place them at greater risk from COVID-19
>Frontline essential workers who cannot work remotely
>Vulnerable populations (residents of congregate care settings)

NMDOH announced today that New Mexico’s vaccination website - vaccinenm.org - now enables users to complete comprehensive personal profiles. These profiles - which include personal medical conditions and employment information, along with other key data - allow the state to notify New Mexicans when vaccine doses become available in their area.
