I remember when I was throwing this urn one month ago hoping that it wouldn’t be for one of my loved ones. Today it’s on its way to Albany where my father-in-law passed away last night. Rest in peace, Mike Kirkman. You will be missed.

I think this teapot deserves a re-post. Every time I look at it, I want to peek inside to see what magic it may hold within. It‘s the latest collaboration work by two Santa Fe artists. The ceramic body of the teapot was made in anasazi clay with yellow salt by ceramic artist Angela Smith Kirkman, and the metal handle was hand-forged by Sparky Sanders, blacksmith extraordinaire.
