The studio reopening is going slower than I had planned because of a recurrence of Ramsay Hunt Syndrome. I have active shingles in my ear canal right now, I have lost count of how many times I have had shingles somewhere on my head. This picture was drawn this week by one of my daughters who is braving her way through remote schooling with very strong dyslexia. I can stay strong because of my daughters. They both are amazing in their own strengths and skills. I will keep going for them, but have to rest most of the time right now. This week it has hurt to even look at or hear my phone. But I will continue to move forward. I will have some collaborative pieces in a pop up in October that I will keep you updated on. I’ve been coming to terms with this illness for almost 3 years now. It is time for me to speak about it because it is a part of the story of who I am and how I will keep going. This is to everyone who has inspired me to keep getting up and trying again, some who have since passed on, and others who are still with us. #ramsayhuntsyndrome
Well that was an interesting 6 months! I am planning on gradually reopening the studio next week. I will be still be unable to work full time and initially it will be by appointment to manage the flow of people in the studio and for cleaning purposes. Please be respectful of this. In addition to quarantine during a pandemic, I have been managing remote schooling and chronic illness. I know many things were delayed; thank you everyone for your patience and for your compassion towards each other! We’re all in this together and finding our new normal. ❤️
Trying to work while remote schooling an adhd 10 year old. Won’t be meeting any deadlines today.
Hi all, I’ve been down with another episode of shingles for a few weeks (Ramsay Hunt Syndrome) I owe a lot of people return phone calls and texts and will be getting back to everyone this week. Sorry for the slow responses and thank you to all my awesome clients for your patience! 💕
