The Friends of the J. Paul Leonard Library is a non-profit affiliate of San Francisco State University. The organization was founded in 1980.
The FOL has four primary goals:
- promote the love of books, book reading, and book collecting;
- foster close and supportive relations between the Library and both the university and the large community;
- enrich the Library and the services and experiences it offers its patrons;
-raise funds to support the Library's acquisitions, services, programs, and improvements in facilities

We had a fantastic pop-up book sale on the Library Plaza, which took place Monday and Tuesday. Stay tuned for the next pop-up sale! .
[07/31/17] We are kicking off a book drive! If you have a donation, you don't need to meet us- please come to the Advancement Department in the Administration Building and drop your books off at the Reception Desk book donation bin.

Thank you for all the marvelous book donations this summer. Barbara Loomis, the Booksale Chair, has worked nonstop with book, CD and LP donations from far and wide. The treasure trove of books will be on sale August 22 when we reopen the Booksale Room!
The Friends Booksale Room will have a pop-up book sale on the Library plaza on August 28 and 29 from 10-3. Please stop by and pick up some great bargains - most $1 and $2 books, LPs, CDs and DVDs! We accept cash and checks.

Many thanks to all who participated in Gator Camp this summer. Thanks to Debbie Masters, Head Librarian, for hosting the library portion of this wonderful and enriching event. Also thanks to Jeff Rosen, and Meredith Eilassen, both SF State Librarians who helped with the library activities for the kids. The Friends of the Library donated 45 children's books to kids who attended Camp while they were at the Library Workshop.
