They like me! They really like me!!! “ haha I thought of Sally Fields as soon as I saw these super cute center pieces. Thank you to all those who volunteered, working day and night for this event.. it was absolutely beautiful! SHP and the 100 Club are both amazing organizations that I could not imagine not being apart of. 💗

The theme for the SHP event was Hollywood! 🎥🎞 So fun... had to go for a vintage Hollywood glam look. Thank you to my hair sponsor at Sensational Hair for glamming me up.

What a great pageant! So wonderful!!👸😃

Progress isn’t always measured on paper. Today I got to be an announcer at The Angel’s Pageant, which is a free pageant for girls and boys with special needs. Everyone walks away with a crown and trophy. I loved seeing all of the kids perform their talents on stage, especially Emily, whom I called for an encore. I volunteered alongside some of my Missouri pageant sisters competing at state in a couple of months. Might’ve shed a tear realizing that thus was my retirement year and I’ll never compete on a state stage ever again. Enjoy EVERY MINUTE ladies, because when it’s gone you’ll never get it back, and if you’re asking yourself should you compete? You only miss the shots you never take. 👗 is of course by @camillelavie

Mindfulness is essential and so is comfortable silence. We don’t always have to be busy and moving and active to be fulfilled or happy ,and being comfortable in our own skin and in our own thoughts is an important step into ourselves, instead of looking over our shoulders at what everyone else has going on... stop and stay in your very own space for once ... start with organization of your very own quiet area ... visualize it ... create it and make it a habit to turn off TV, social media and connect back to yourself !

So excited to spend the morning volunteering for Operation Gratitude - such a fantastic organization and a great experience. I had the opportunity to make care packages and write letters to our soldiers, veterans and first responders.

This journey has led me to the most life changing moments I could have ever imagined! Having overcome early trauma in my life and homelessness, I competed utilizing pageants as a tool to heal. I applied my voice as a therapist and advocate to make change but doing this as #MissUnitedStates is my crown. When I competed last year, I competed healed and excited ready to be your Miss United States reminding you that “no adversity defines who you are”. This organization gave me a space to use my story to inspire others! My heart is full as I transition into my new roles and opportunities and will forever be thankful for my reign! @candeegal09 our Miss United States 2013 @peacelovepageantry you saw something in me and helped me to bring my inner fire out to the world and feel READY to shine. @pageantdirectorteri people are shocked to hear that I didn’t grow up watching pageants and that you convinced for over a year to compete. You treat like your biological daughter and have been my side through every loss, every win. I love you! @realsummerpriester Miss United States 2015, thank you for reminding of what is important, being unapologetically ME! If I’m not busy being miss Teen United States, you can find me working.. as a singing Disney Princess. I’ve owned and operated my own small business “Pretty Princess Portland” since I was about 15 years old.
I love children and I love singing. Being a theatre person combined with everything that this job has to offer is almost like a dream. I can’t believe how far I’ve gotten with only an idea. I hope that Pretty Princess Portland can be continued until I’m old and grey and my heart stops yearning to sing and make little girls & boys smile. 💙 P.S. Elsa is my top seller.. but my favorite to play is Ariel.

The Miss United States

It’s Thankful Tuesday, what are you thankful for? I’m thankful for my premed journey which some days I have a love hate relationship with. Today is a hate day. For me I was always a straight A student, great ACT score, and in college things started off great and then junior year life happened and it unfortunately affected my gpa. Upon graduation I spent my first gap year retaking my core classes I did terrible in. Which was a lot Organic 2, Biochem 1, all the physics’s (I think that’s the pleural way to say physics) and many others. I got A’s in them. I remained involved in continuing research. Basic research, which anyone who has done basic research knows that it’s not a job for many and can be summed up by saying to expect to repeat everything, failure is inevitable, long hours, and lots of delayed gratification. Simultaneously I work full time in research, while being what I call an “overtime” student. I say overtime, because a full time student consists of 12-17 hours max and I’ve yet to have a semester where I was under 20 hours at Washington University in St. Louis. Today was what I call a hate day, because in spite of excelling at everything and being a 4.0 student at Wash U, there’s always this thought in the back of my mind “I hate I had to reapply to medical school, and I hope everything is enough, I hope my continuous effort is enough to get me in somewhere. Really anywhere. I hope they see the me now and overlook my flaws.” 👸🏽 BUT as someone that believes in the law of attraction and Jesus I believe that the universe works in ways that is in our best interest. For instance, had certain things not happened in my upbringing or being abused I wouldn’t have found my passion for helping others to overcome the circumstances that they are faced with. You can’t erase your history, because its shaped you, you can only learn from it, grow, and trust that you’re on the right path. So, whatever goal you have that you’re trying to accomplish whether if it’s to win your next pageant, kill the mcat, lose weight, or in my case get into medical school be grateful for your own personal journey and know that your idea of failure is someone else’s idea of success.

“Give a woman the right pair of shoes and she can truly conquer the world.”- Marilyn Monroe. I’m very excited to announce that I am now a spokesmodel for @marcdefang and my shoe The Alexia is now availability for purchase on the site (link in bio). This shoe is 6.25” and the best part is that it shows just the right amount of toe so that you don’t have your toes overhanging. Excellent for appearances or just a night of fun! Make sure to put Alexia Robinson in the comments when you checkout.

The Miss United States

Happy birthday to my amazing director @donnahoegler (on left) @bycarrier is still equally great (right). I didn’t have any pictures of us together solo🤦🏽‍♀️. Probably because you’re always off making sure #teamlucci has everything that we need to be successful. Thank you for all that you do for my sister Queens and myself. I hope you have an amazing day!

“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” – Dr. Seuss

Being pretty is great, but what about being pretty smart? I think that’s something even better to strive for don’t you agree? A little over a year ago I began tutoring for the ACT and SAT and I love it. I became affiliated with a couple of prep companies and started writing custom problem sets, study aids, and my Lexie ACT Guide Book. I enjoy seeing a variety of students, but my favorite students are non traditional learners like myself! I prefer tutoring athletes with busy schedules and teenagers with learning disabilities. I have had many successes in getting teenagers high test scores that have dyslexia, Autism, and bipolar disorder to name a few students I see. I’d say my favorite students I get (which tends to be the majority of students I see) are ones that score in the low teens and I help them to achieve their dream scores in the 30s and get into their dream schools! I see students discouraged all of the time that often tell me that they feel dumb for not getting the same scores as everyone around them. I don’t believe that anyone is a super genius above their peers, but I do believe that everyone has their own unique learning style, not a single student is alike another, and all students should be addressed differently based off of their needs!

Many of my students that I tutored last year are starting at their dream schools this year with lots of scholarships (Butler, Mckendree, Wash U, and Cornell to name a few places) and I’m so happy to play my small part in their process. I’m currently helping Nicole who dreams of getting into Brown University and playing girls soccer ⚽️ there. Well, gurrrrllll the world is yours and you can achieve anything and be anything that you want to be! Scroll to see a few of my many proud moments! @ St. Louis

Happy Birthday to our State Director Donna Conrad Hoegler and our The Little Miss United States Mom Machelle Hussong! We so appreciate you, your efforts, and are proud that you are a part of The United States National Pageants Family!

The Ms. Woman United States

Finally have a ‘free’ day to check off an item for my wedding 👰🏼 . Today I worked on my veil. My mom gave me the veil she wore for her wedding. I removed the head piece and the lace trim that had yellowed over the years and am making it my own by adding a more modern lace trim and attaching 🧵 the veil onto a comb. My something old ✅!
