Praying Our Loved One Home - Daily Prayers for Prodigals
2019 National Day of Prayer Verse.
Just Go Love
National Day of Prayer!
We are all descended from Adam and later from Noah. As such, we are all members of the one human race.
Who has believed [confidently trusted in, relied on, and adhered to] our message [of salvation]? And to whom [if not us] has the arm and infinite power of the Lord been revealed? For He [the Servant of God] grew up before Him like a tender shoot (plant), And like a root out of dry ground; He has no stately form or majestic splendor That we would look at Him, Nor [handsome] appearance that we would be attracted to Him. He was despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and pain and acquainted with grief; And like One from whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we did not appreciate His worth or esteem Him. But [in fact] He has borne our griefs, And He has carried our sorrows and pains; Yet we [ignorantly] assumed that He was stricken, Struck down by God and degraded and humiliated [by Him]. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing]; The punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him, And by His stripes (wounds) we are healed.

Listen very carefully, I tell you a mystery [a secret truth decreed by God and previously hidden, but now revealed]; we will not all sleep [in death], but we will all be [completely] changed [wondrously transformed], in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at [the sound of] the last trumpet call. For a trumpet will sound, and the dead [who believed in Christ] will be raised imperishable, and we will be [completely] changed [wondrously transformed]. For this perishable [part of us] must put on the imperishable [nature], and this mortal [part of us that is capable of dying] must put on immortality [which is freedom from death]. And when this perishable puts on the imperishable, and this mortal puts on immortality, then the Scripture will be fulfilled that says, “D eath is swallowed up in victory (vanquished forever). O death , where is your victory ? O death , where is your sting ?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin [by which it brings death] is the law; but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory [as conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord [always doing your best and doing more than is needed], being continually aware that your labor [even to the point of exhaustion] in the Lord is not futile nor wasted [it is never without purpose].

Praying Our Loved One Home - Daily Prayers for Prodigals
The day after. The day after the darkest day in history. A day of great grief. A day of loss. A day of confusion. She believed that what He had promised was true, yet now her son was gone.
She was crushed. Devastated. Full of angst and disappointment. Full of sorrow. She was told by God her son was going to be the King of Kings. And he had just been crucified on an old wooden cross.
You may be experiencing many of the same emotions today as Mary did on that day.
WHERE ARE YOU GOD????? THIS IS NOT WHAT I HAD PLANNED??? I THOUGHT YOU WERE GOOD??? YOU LET MY SON DIE!!!!!
But like us on this day, she couldn't see what was going to happen the NEXT day. She couldn't begin to comprehend, to wrap her brain around what God was going to do in just 24 short hours.
God IS here my friends. He is with you in this dark valley that you walk through . He is with your loved one as they are walking through the darkest of valleys.
And the HOPE. The HOPE that we have is in what happened the next day. The hope is in the promises, the assurance that we KNOW He never leaves our side.
April 20, 2019 Our prayer for our loved one today:
Psalm 23:1-6 NIV
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Thank you Lord that you are (our loved one’s) shepherd and in You (he/she) will have everything (he/she) needs for an abundant life. Lord, as I pray that (our loved one) will rest in You today I ask that you quiet (our loved one’s) spirit and refresh and restore (our loved one’s) soul. Lord, I feel today that (our loved one’s) walking through the darkest of valley's, Lord but THANK YOU that you are always with (him/her) and that because of that, I have nothing to fear. Lord, we ask that your rod would protect (our loved one) today. Lord with your staff, draw me and (our loved one) near to you. Lord comfort (our loved one) as only you can. You provide for (him/her) a table, a feist even before (his/her) enemies, to the point where (his/her) cup will overflow with abundance! Lord, thank you that your goodness and your mercies will follow (our loved one) all of the days of (our loved one’s) life and for the amazing promise that I will dwell with you in your house forever, eternally. Lord, I thank you and praise you for all of these things today. In Jesus Name! Amen.

Wednesday - Holy Week Prayer
Matthew 26:27-56; 1 Corinthians 1:18
We tremble to think
That it was one of Jesus’ own friends who betrayed him.
One who sat by him, who broke bread with him.
Give us strength, we pray,
To walk faithfully with Jesus,
Even when the road we walk is rocky
Even when the message of the cross seems like foolishness
And even when we feel betrayed.
You, Lord, are always faithful.
We stumble, we become lost,
But you are steady and sure.
Give us the grace to endure our troubles,
And reveal to us the glory of your kingdom,
Through your son, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit.
Tuesday - Holy Week Prayer
Matthew 26:36-46; Hebrews 5:7-9
The message of the cross is difficult to take.
How can death give way to life? How can weakness be strength?
Yet your word says that Jesus, being God,
Took on human flesh
And suffered the worst kind of death.
How can this be?
This message is indeed difficult to take.
But your foolishness is wiser than our wisdom.
Your weakness is greater than our strength.
Help us to know that none of us can boast before you.
It is only in Christ Jesus that we can boast.
In his name, we ask you to help our unbelief.
That we may love you, and walk in the way Jesus taught us.
In his name,
