WPBC Prayer Group is following suit with our church in suspending our Saturday morning prayer for 2 weeks due to COVID 19. We will reassess then as to when we will begin to meet again. IN THE MEANTIME, Please Keep Praying! I am praying at 10am on Saturday mornings at home and I encourage you to do the same. Some things to pray for: 1. COVID 19 epidemic and the health and safety of our community, nation, and the world. 2. Our church community 3. Our broader community 4. Our neighbors 5. Our government, especially for discernment at this time 6. Your personal growth in the Lord 7. Our congregation's growth in the knowledge and love of the Lord 8. Anything and anyone the Lord puts on your heart! Please share any insights the Lord gives you during your time of prayer. Let us encourage each other, whether together or apart! God Bless you all! Z.R.

We have some exciting things happening this week! * Reston Community Center at Hunters Woods is hosting a public showing of the Oscar nominated documentary "13th" on Nov 7th, followed by a conversation with the film's narrator. This is exactly the kind of educational action our Pastor talked about on Delegate Ken Plum's program, Virginia Report. (available now on Youtube https://youtu.be/BiA6wbQNW-M , local cable broadcast on Nov 7 & 8th). So let's spread the word. I'll definitely be at the RCC event. * Our Pastor will be on Ken Plum's program, Virginia Report. The program will be aired on November 7th and 8th. https://youtu.be/BiA6wbQNW-M * FREE CONCERT THIS SUNDAY AT 6:00. Join us as we welcome Songwriter of the Year, Bobby Jo Valentine. You won't want to miss this.
Baptist church Sunday school
Job Opening: Seeking interested, motivated and experienced individual to run a laptop and projector displaying multiple PowerPoint presentations during church services in Reston. The services are on Sunday mornings from 11:00 to approximately 12:30, so the weekly schedule will be 10:00am to 1:00pm. Duties will consist of setting up a floor model projection screen, loading, checking and testing single or multiple Microsoft Powerpoint presentations onto a Windows 10 laptop and projecting the results using an Optoma projector, taking down and storing the projection screen, and laptop as needed. Individual must be familiar with Powerpoint and controlling presentations manually or using loops, and in seamlessly switching between multiple presentations, using Windows extended display to drive the projector. Individual will work with the Music Director and others to define the sequence and timing of the presentations during the worship services. For more information, please contact Ken Williamson at [email protected].

General information

Our Church is an inclusive Christian community whose worship, communion, and fellowship are open to all without restriction to gender, nationality, race, ethnicity, and sexual orientation. We affirm that all have access to the love of Christ and service to God. We practice in the Baptist tradition, the core principles of which are: Soul Freedom - The individual is responsible to none except God, is totally competent to stand before God, and is capable of discerning meaning and action in life and practice under the direct inspiration of the Spirit of God and Holy Scripture. Bible Freedom - The Bible is our authority in matters of faith and practice and is to be interpreted in its entirety, using the best scholarship and the discernment of the community. Church Freedom - We are autonomous and congregational in governance. Our practices, policies, associations, and ministries are set by the congregation under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and Holy Scripture. Religious Freedom - The Church and civil government are independent of each other (separation of church and state). We support a free Church and a free state, separate and individually responsible to God.
