Pennsylvania's Premier Service Provider for Local Government Employee Benefits
The name Mockenhaupt Benefits Group is synonymous with Pennsylvania public employee benefits. For more than 60 years, the company has grown to work with more public pension plans than any other Pennsylvania consulting firm. Deeply rooted in the government sector, the company was founded in 1940 and began servicing local government pension plans in 1955. Mockenhaupt Benefits Group provides actuarial and consulting services to over 400 public employee plans in 53 counties across Pennsylvania. And for the past 30 years, over 400 clients have been meeting their insurance needs through Municipal Benefits Services (MBS), formerly called Municipal Employers Insurance Trust (MEIT) - a health insurance consortium specializing in the specific needs of municipalities, authorities and councils of government throughout Pennsylvania providing group insurance benefits at the lowest net cost. MBS operates under the direction of a diverse board that includes eight municipal managers. Our experience is unsurpassed. Each of our consultants has worked with hundreds of municipal plans.
