[11/18/20]   Just a friendly reminder that to use our services, you need to be caring for a child who is not biologically yours, and be able to provide some type of documentation or third party verification (school, social worker, doctors office, etc.).

If you need any help on getting this documentation, we are happy to say that it’s pretty easy to obtain, and we would love to assist you with this, to make your life easier.

We wish we could help everyone that asks us for help... we really do, and our hearts truly go out to you; but due to our non-profit status, we need to abide by the rules and regulations to continue to be eligible.

Further, if we set the precedence to help one family who doesn’t qualify, then we would need help all families that come our way, which in turn, goes against our primary mission.

Though you and your family may not be eligible for our services, please feel free to reach out if you need any guidance on other agency’s that may be able to assist you, as between all board members we can usually point you into the right direction.

Thank you all, and we wish you the best. ❤️

[11/15/20]   Just want to reiterate how thankful we are for everyone who purchased a shirt from our fundraiser. We were able to raise a little over $400 to help with our basic needs for boys.

Special thanks to Image Works Custom Apparel for making them - they turned out awesome! (And answering our 9,327 questions along the way 🙂.... next year we are planning on doing hoodies and winter hats!

We spent about six hours delivering shirts today, and have about 95% of them to their owners. We hope you all enjoy them as much as we do.

Can’t wait to see them out in public as you guys are wearing them!

It was so cool yesterday, as we were in Walmart, shopping for basic needs for kids- to hear someone recognize us as they saw my shirt. That makes me feel confident that we are spreading the word about who we are, and what we do!

Thanks again, I know we say it often, but we couldn’t do what we do, without a wonderful community full of all of you awesome people. ❤️

First round of Care Packages going out today....

Thank you M&M Community Foundation for our grants for girls, and for everyone who purchased raffles and shirts, as that money went towards gifts for the boys!

There is still time to get yours in! Please send us your list!

Guess what we got!!??

Lol whoever donated this little 4T... HOW CUTE!

.....What our big sister, Delta Said! 😁 we follow suit!

We don’t just help when kids first enter foster care. These are for some kiddos who have been in care for quite a while, but they’ve outgrown their current wardrobes. When you have sibling groups who outgrow their clothes at the same time, replacing multiple wardrobes can be really overwhelming financially—especially for Kinship families who were not necessarily prepared to care for young children again long term. Thanks to all of our amazing donors, we are able to provide pants, long and short sleeve shirts, sweaters and sweatshirts, underwear, socks, sneakers, winter coats, snow pants, hats, gloves, boots, and more for this family. We are so grateful to live in a community of people who make helping kids in care possible. We could not do this without all of you!!

❤️

Trauma & Co.

Repost Gwynn Raimondi, MA

There is no one right way to process our trauma or our grief associated with it. We each come to this work in our time and work through it at our own pace.

And it is important work, I believe. Vital. So that we don't perpetuate harm. So we don't continue cycles and patterns that hurt us and can hurt others. So we can begin to live our lives on our own terms, becoming more and more self-aware and learning to shift and change the ways we respond to others and ourselves.

Marinette County Elderly Services

Are you in the giving spirit? We need your help!!

In past years we have had a "Caring Tree" at our meal sites where seniors coming to dine, staff, or anyone in the community could come in, take an anonymous gift request off of the tree, and bring in a gift for one of our homebound meal delivery participants.

Since we are not open to the public to make that happen this year, we are asking for help from the community to brighten the holidays for seniors in Marinette County struggling with isolation and loneliness.

If you would like to help, please mail or drop off a wrapped $10-$20 gift, and indicate if it is for a man, woman, or gender neutral. There will be a large bin outside our front door for collection that will be checked daily.

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity! Please call with any questions 715-854-7453.
