Welcome! Leave comment. Thank you.

"What You Should Wear this Fall?"; Colossians 3:12-17

Come to the Sauk River Park (large) shelter on Sunday and find out "What does THIS jacket have to do with church?" We will kick off a 6 week series regarding spiritual gifts and how God has SHAPED each one of us to serve one another in the church.

This Sunday, we're still on Facebook Live, but also in a neighborhood in Melrose. If you want a provided lunch, please RSVP Becky at 320-905-9487

Yesterday we celebrated quite an achievement! Pastor Paul was ordained!

Pastor Paul: may the Lord bless you as you follow in His way. May you find joy and peace as He inspires you each day. Blessings on your Ordination.

Warning for All Believers

2 Thessalonians 3:6-18 - We will finish up our series on "The Church in Hard Times."

Putting Prayer in its Place

2 Thessalonians 3:1-5.
Song lyrics and sermon notes can be accessed through our website.

Question of the day: How do you deal with things that come up which frustrate or distract you?

Join us this morning as we worship the one and only God and as we hear from His word together. We're at the small shelter, online, and on the radio within about a mile of the park (88.5).

[08/04/20]   "Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving." Colossians 4:2. We must never, ever, ever give up on the truth that God IS involved and that God DOES care and that God IS listening to all who humbly approach Him. THIS is our greatest work and any results for Him that we have as a church or as individuals will come as a result of prayer. Join us on Sundays, join us in small groups this fall, join us online consistently. Most importantly, join God is what He's already doing - see 2 Thessalonians 3:3-5.

Being Leads to Doing

Lie #5 - “We Need Jesus” is a weak response to our problems

We'll be looking at Colossians 1:15-20 and 2 Corinthians 5:14-17 this morning.

Lie #1 - You cannot be forgiven

Romans 3:20-26 - Let's see how our efforts at forgiveness stack up against God's efforts at forgiveness.

llustration #7 of how our current Covid-19 Pandemic speaks to our even more real spiritual need:

Who can you trust with all of this information floating around? I mean, how many Covid-19 cases are there really? Is Covid-19 really a brand new virus or do we already have some protections for it? How much is the government keeping from us? Who really has our best interest in mind?
The ultimate question is, "Who is lying to us and why?"

If there truly is something going on that most of us are being duped on, there are two truths that will remain - they will be found out eventually and we still have control over our own outlook and attitude.

There are lies, though, that have been told for, well, forever, that are most certainly lies, that are still being believed by the masses, and that we have a way to combat. These lies are communicated through our adversary, the devil, who wants nothing else than our destruction. Just three simple examples and the truths that combat them:

1. Lie: You have no hope of forgiveness, you've messed up too much. Truth: In Jesus, there is offered to every human being the forgiveness of all your sins and the salvation of your souls.

2. Lie: God is not in control and/or uninterested. Truth: God is sovereignly and perfectly knowledgeable about all that is going on, having a history of making good out of bad and drawing people to himself through patience and compassion.

3. Lie: What's best for you is to "be true to yourself." Truth: What's best for you is being true to who God has created you to be. It has been proven over time that the many forms of this falsity does not provide hope or satisfaction, whether it's in the form of sexual freedom, financial pursuits, or any kind of "look out for myself" focus.

Missions March, 2018

God has sent each of us as missionaries. Whether you are telling people about Jesus in Germany or Cameroon or Alexandria, MN, like three families that we support, or going to Guatemala to help install indoor stoves and healthy water systems (go Pat!), or going to Texas to assist families that have suffered from Hurricane Harvey (10 of us), or whether you are called to follow and obey Jesus in your everyday life (all believers in Jesus), this month is meant to draw attention to God’s mission - making His name great and making our lives full of life.

March 4 - God’s mission in us - Faith like a child.

March 11 - God’s mission through us - Die for us so we can live as servants.

March 18 - God’s mission around us - Healing.

March 25 - God’s mission despite us - Worship Him alone.

March 30 - Good Friday - Where it all is finished!

April 1 - Easter Sunday - NEW LIFE!
