Owen couldn’t give a rip about gifts. We had to convince him to go look 😅 the boy just doesn’t care about material things. He prefers gifts of going places and doing things together. Also he loves acts of service like having his back rubbed and cuddling. I try to brace myself yearly over his lackluster for gifts but I’ll admit it’s hard. Then I just tell myself this is Owen and that’s okay. He doesn’t care about material items, he just wants love and attention. Those are things I’m happy to give daily ❤️❤️ He liked Christmas Eve Mass and only had to be taken outside once which is huge for him. I also love that the school Tyler will be going to has such an accepting parish. One of the ushers came up and chatted with me and they were just so full of grace with Owen’s behaviors. We can’t wait to start going back regularly! We went a lot when we lived in Maumelle and when Owen was a baby. As his behaviors worsened we often avoid church settings (we’ve been to a few churches that we’ve gotten dirty looks and nasty stares) but not IHM. So this Christmas, I’m thankful for an accepting church ❤️ I read a TON of articles within the special needs community about how churches aren’t friendly to certain types of disabilities etc- to that I say, just look a little harder and you will find that special place and when you do you’ll know! I hope to find that usher next time and let her know how she made my Christmas brighter with just those kind words! And if you’re an avid member of a church- don’t forgot what may look like a “bad child” could be totally false. Things aren’t always as they seem! It costs nothing to be kind ❤️ Merry Christmas ❤️❤️❤️ it is important to accept all in his church not just socially speaking ok people. Learn from this post as it comes from the heart for our family.

Funeral Service For Roger King. Funeral Service for Roger King

Today is a bitter sweet day.

After 16 years, the Montessori School of Melrose, is moving to a new facility.

While we are sad to see them go, we are excited about the new opportunities they have to serve our community as they faithfully teach our children.

May God continue to bless you and your important work!

"We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach;” – Romans 12:6-7

The COVID test in my family just came back all clear (we are very relieved it was just a cold and ear infection)! Praise be to God!

We will have regular worship and bible study this weekend. I will be sending out a phone call this evening to let everyone know.

I look forward to worshiping our Savior with you at 9 on Sunday!

Welcome to St St Paul's live stream service! Sunday July 26, 2020

Dear friends in Christ,
Yesterday Governor Walz announced Executive Order 20-81 requiring face masks in public settings. This includes places of worship.

Beginning this Sunday (July 26th) we will be requiring face masks in worship, although there are exemptions for those with medical conditions in which a mask would complicate breathing. There are exemptions where a mask is not required during periods of singing, speaking, etc. Please read through the links below to find out more. We do have a limited amount of masks available, ad we encourage you to bring your own mask (or some other face covering) with you to church.

Everything else on Sunday mornings will continue to look as it has the past several weeks! We will still be gathered around God's Word and Sacrament. We will continue singing hymns to the praise and glory of God. And we will continue to our service on Facebook and Youtube for those who are unable to attend.

As you're able, please share this announcement with folks in the coming days, especially those who do not have access to Facebook.

I thank you all for your patience. And I thank you for respecting this and all previous decisions that we've been forced to make regarding COVID-19.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” (Romans 15:13)
