Hey friends! My husband and I need to relocate quickly due to a job situation. We are looking to rent a room in our 2 bed, 2 bath condo in Ashburn to a college student or young male professional. We already have a friend who will rent the other room. Move-in would be early to mid July and rent would be $935 and half of the utilities. Message me for more details!

Hi everyone! I got the chance to talk to a few of you tonight about the WGTS fest which is coming up on April 6 and will be featuring music from Matthew West & Britt Nicole and local band Sorensen at Hylton Memorial Chapel in Woodbridge from 7:00 - 10:00 PM. I have a few interested parties and thought it would be great to get a group to carpool down together. Depending on how much interest is generated I could purchase bulk tickets on my card so we can all sit together (we can use Venmo). Let me know if any of you are interested! I’m new to young adults and excited to get more involved!
Hey! What are the details for the bonfire this Friday night? It's at RBC but at what time? 7? Do we need to bring anything? I tried finding an event for it here, RBC's website, and Cornerstone's...no luck!
Hope to see all my friends home for the Christmas break tonight! It's gonna be a blast! Invite a friend.

Young Adults at Cornerstone Chapel seeks to give young adults (18-29) a place to learn about God, grow in their faith, and build relationships.

Pastor Austin just finished up his series in the book of 2 Peter. As we prepare for the return of Jesus we are to live in holiness and live a life of urgency. Preparedness compels is to share the saving grace of Jesus with our community. You can listen to the entire series in 2 Peter by clicking the link in our bio!

Ahhh yes. The sound of corn popping, a bonfire crackling, laughter and fellowship under the stars amongst friends - need I say more?! Come thou fount of every blessing indeed!

See you all for our Labor Day Movie Night on September 7 at The Park at 7:30pm as we watch The Case for Christ based on the true story of an atheist journalist who looks to disprove his wife’s Christian faith. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and invite a friend!

Peter’s Plea: Prepare | 2 Peter 3 | Austin Hamrick

08/24/2020
In the final chapter of Peter’s letter, he pleads with believers to prepare. But prepare for what? Peter speaks about the Coming Day of the Lord - something the Old Testament prophets predicted as well as other New Testament letters. But what is the Coming Day of the Lord, and why does Peter plead with us to be prepared for it? Join Pastor Austin as he closes out the book of 2 Peter.

We cannot clean ourselves up to be able to meet the perfect standard of God. When we submit ourselves to Christ we are in him and he cleans us. Click the link in our bio to watch the full teaching.

Peter’s Plea: Discern | 2 Peter 2 | Austin Hamrick

8/17/2020
In chapter 1, Peter pleads with believers to continue to grow in Christ. In today’s passage, Peter pleads with them to use discernment when it comes to false teachers that are among them. The key to be grounded, mature and fruitful in the faith lies in one’s ability to exercise discernment. We need to exercise discernment in all areas of our lives - politics, media, entertainment, spirituality - so that we can live lives that please and honor God. Pastor Austin tells us what the Bible says about developing spiritual discernment in our lives.

Peter's Plea: Grow | 2 Peter 1 | Austin Hamrick

8/10/2020
Peter begins his second letter to the churches in Asia Minor by reminding them to continue to build upon their faith and grow in the Lord. It can become easy for us as believers to become stagnant or lazy in our walks with Christ, and when that happens, inevitably our fleshly nature will begin to dominant. Have you been in a rut regarding your relationship with Jesus? Jump in with us to today’s message as Pastor Austin encourages us to persevere in the faith!

Want to praise God throughout your week? Did a specific song minister to you at last week’s Night of Worship? Check out our playlist from our August Night of Worship! Link in our bio.

RECAP: Our Night of Worship this past Monday was an incredible night of praising the name of Jesus together!

Jehovah Tsidkenu means “The LORD Our Righteousness”. The Bible makes clear that God is righteous and only righteous people can enter His kingdom, but the Bible also says that we’re ALL sinners and the payment for sin is death! So how do we reconcile the two? Pastor Austin concludes our series by talking about the most important name of God.

Psalm 23 is one of the most well known passages of Scripture in the entire Bible. David recognizes God as His Jehovah Rohi, which means “The LORD My Shepherd”. In this week’s message, Pastor Austin discusses the different ways God desires to “shepherd” us and how it conflicts with the deceptive ways in which the world attempts to be our shepherd.

The name Jehovah Tsaba means “The LORD of Hosts” or “The LORD of Armies” and is used over 285 times in the Bible. Did you know that God has an army? God is the Captain of this spiritual, invisible army in the heavenly places, and the Israelites knew God as their defender and protector. They understood Him to be their strength and power behind their victories. And so can we. Just as David came to Goliath in the name of Jehovah Tsaba and defeated this giant, we too can have this hope over the different “giants” and battles we face when we cling to the Lord and His Word.

On Monday we talked about God’s name Jehovah Nissi - the Lord is my banner. When we are going through a battle God is with us and is our banner. If you missed this week’s service check it out on YouTube.

The Names of God: Jehovah Nissi | Exodus 17:8-16 | Austin Hamrick

Moses and the Israelites are making their way to the Promised Land when they are hit by a surprise attack from the Amalekites. God gives Israel the victory as long as Moses appeals to heaven by keeping his ordinary shepherd’s staff raised in the air. It is there where Moses proclaimed the name “Jehovah Nissi”, which means “The LORD My Banner”! There are figurative battles that we may face – battles with lust, anger, fear or worry, to name a few. In today’s message, Pastor Austin addresses how to overcome our battles with the help of God as our “Banner” – the covering we run to for help in times of deep struggle.

The Names of God part 2:
Last week, we looked at Exodus 15 where God revealed Himself to the wandering Israelites as Jehovah Rapha (The LORD That Heals)! God turned the bitter waters into something sweet so that the Israelites could finally quench their thirst after going without water for 3 days. God loves to be called by this name because He is still in the business of healing! Healing broken relationships, broken marriages, broken friendships. God especially desires to heal any bitterness we’ve been holding on to and turn it into something sweet for His glory. Turn to Him and ask Him to be your Healer. Ask Him to help you let go of any bitterness you have against anyone who may have hurt you. Come out TONIGHT at 7:30pm as we study the next name of God.

The Names of God part 1:
2 weeks ago, we looked at the name Jehovah Jireh from Genesis 22, which means “The LORD Will Provide” or “The LORD Sees”. In other words, God will see to it that He provides for your situation. The key is remembering that God will provide in His way and in His timing! We may not always immediately see how or when God may provide, but just like Abraham modeled for us in Genesis 22, our responsibility is to be obedient, worship, and trust that He will provide and is faithful to fulfill His promises according to His perfect will for our lives.

The Names of God: Jehovah Rapha | Exodus 15:22-26 | Austin Hamrick

06/29/2020
The people of Israel were thirsty after traveling in the Desert for three days with no water on their way to the Promised Land. They finally found water, but couldn’t drink it because it was bitter. It was there where God made Himself known as their Healer (Jehovah Rapha) and turned the bitter water into something sweet. God is still in the business of healing today; especially when it comes to bitterness in our own lives. Jump in to today’s Bible study and learn exactly how God wants to reveal His name to you and how to go about uprooting bitterness in our lives before we become a slave to it.

We’re continuing in our series tonight called The Names of God! After worship and teaching, we’ll have our after-party in the Courtyard with popcorn! Bring a friend, bring your mask, see you at 7:30pm.

The Names of God: Jehovah Jireh | Genesis 22 | Austin Hamrick

Names are important. Names matter. Names carry certain associations – some positive, some negative. We love getting autographs from famous people because their name attached to a specific object makes it that much more valuable and meaningful. If names are important here on earth, then how much more important is the name of God and the different titles ascribed to Him in the Bible. Join us for part 1 in our series as we study the name Jehovah Jireh from Genesis 22.

The Danger of Drifting and How To Stay Anchored | Hebrews 2-3 | Austin Hamrick

06/15/2020
The writer of Hebrews warns the Jewish believers about the propensity to neglect their walks with Christ and drift away from the faith. Lets take heed of this warning in our day, lest we also drift. But what causes us to drift in the first place, and how can we stay anchored in Christ? Open your Bibles with us to Hebrews chapter 2.

Your Little is A Lot to God | Mark 12:41-44 | Austin Hamrick

A poor widow puts in 2 mites, which is comparable to 2 pennies in our day, and she is commended by Jesus for giving all she had. We can learn some great principles on giving from this widow, but we can also glean some powerful, spiritual principles as well because God loves to take the “little” that we offer Him to accomplish amazing things. Do you feel like what you have to offer the world, your career, or your family is insignificant? Perfect. You’re exactly the kind of person God wants to use. Glean important giving principles and find great encouragement in today’s study in Mark 12.

Who or What is Standing in the Way? | Mark 10:17-22 | Austin Hamrick

Evolution or Intelligent Design? The question concerning the origin of life has been one of the most highly debated, philosophical and scientific topics known to man. But does it even matter? Is what happened in the past even relevant to our future? Is it ok if a Christian believes in the theory of Evolution? All of this and more on today’s episode.
