There're many options to choose from when trying to stay healthy, fit etc. And for some of us who've chosen exercising as one of those options, there're days when we do "stupid [email protected]$t". Today, for me, was one of those days.

The struggle to stay healthy never ends, nor is it any less diminished by these "stupid [email protected]$t!πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

Larry is 76 yrs young!! There comes a time in our lives when exercising isn't about one's physical appearance; rather, mobility, flexibility and stability - going up and down the STAIRS short of the expected physical wear and tear that comes with age. Being able to play with the grand munchkins....

We. Are. All. Different. These are the body types.

Ectomorph: Lean and long, with difficulty building muscle.

Endomorph: Big, high body fat, often pear-shaped, with a high tendency to store body fat.

Mesomorph: Muscular and well-built, with a high metabolism and responsive muscle cells.

Some of the most neglected muscles in most exercise regimens are the rhomboid muscles. These muscles are located in the upper back, and help connect the shoulder blades to the rib cage and spine. They also help us maintain good posture.

One way to strengthen them is by using resistance bands. In case you decide to use weights, use light weights.

Not bad at all, for a 76 year old who wants to UP his tennis game again! - his passion sport.

A small part of Lily's story that she's finally allowed me to share. Dropped 17.2lbs and most importantly, 4.2% body fat since April this year.

Consistently sticking to the basics (regular exercise and eating healthy 70% - 75% of the time), always generate sustainable desired results in the long run. I don't believe in fad diets that lead to quick and short-lived results, never will.

In addition to MaryBeth's physical therapy after her knee surgery, we've been utilizing resistance bands to do basic knee strengthening exercises.

More than 1 in 3 Americans eat fast food on a typical day, and we eat it all day long - Los Angeles Times New survey data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show that 36.6% of us eat some kind of fast food on any given day. That includes 37.9% of men and 35.4% of women.

Making time to exercise is probably the most challenging thing for most parents and working adults.

Most of us underestimate the importance of mobility until it's too late.

If one is unable to move a joint freely through its full range of motion, then he/she is already putting him/herself at an increased risk of injury before even attempting to pick up a weight and load that range of motion.

Elbow plank - 60 secs, medicine ball plank - 60 secs & the stability ball plank - 60 secs.

Ms. Carmen completed these core conditioning exercises; superseting them with the Bosuball/Stability ball figure 8 (core, stability, balance & shoulder mobility) exercise.

The little exercises that go a long way in improving one's overall health and wellbeing.
