where's the mid day prayer today?
What do you think about this? (I think he's right)
I love God, and he sent his only begotten son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for all are sins.
I am a child of god and I believe in god with all my heart and soul. And I know we have a loveing and forgiveing God.
Read how some Biblically faithful Anglicans in Canada responded to changes in their Province (national denomination), very similar to our history here. "Apart from the gospel, a pastor is nothing but an underqualified social worker. The gospel is all we have." I would add - all we have is the gospel and the Holy Spirit, who empowers us and leads us into all truth. Yes, it was worth it. Your thoughts?
Good commentary on a popular writer: "Evans everywhere misuses the term “literalism,” applying it disparagingly to those who believe the Bible is understandable and consistent with itself. Because she does not believe that God is able to speak clearly, the text becomes for her a useful “cacophony of voices.”9 Without a substitutionary atonement, without a respectful and nuanced reading of the Old Testament law that takes Christ as its fulfillment and culmination, without the dual natures of Christ, and without the distinction between teaching and narrative, the Bible is fragmented and unintelligible. And yet, for centuries Christians have known that God speaks coherently in every age and in every place. God is a poet, a teacher, a master of metaphor, a narrator so devoted to a perfect arch that He encompasses the totality of human history within His divine purposes. Indeed, God so relies on the complexities and subtleties of human speech as to adopt for Himself the name “The Word.” When God says, “Do not lie,” everybody understands what He means. When Jesus stands sorrowing over the city of Jerusalem, grieving that He would have gathered her as a hen gathers her chicks (Matt. 23:37), even a small child understands that He is not a chicken, but that He deeply desires not the death of sinners but that they should turn to Him and live." Your thoughts?
Im asking anyone who wants to help me publish my book. I have found an Editor we start working on my book after Easter. She charges $35 an hour and in increments of 10 hours. Im looking into fundraising resources but need help in the time being. I met her from a friend of a friend feeling it is God ordained I have more hope then ever accomplishing a goal for God. I hope you can be a part of something that can change many lives.
I was visiting my parents in Leesburg. What a wonderful service and congregation! Music was awesome, message was great and it was clear this congregation cares about reaching the people for Christ. The Childcare is superb! I think my two toddlers never been happier - they didn't want to leave ;) When I'll be in Leesburg again I will go back!!!!!
Church Service on Sunday! The current weather forecast is for 2 to 4 inches of snow to fall on Loudoun on Saturday afternoon and evening. As of now, we are planning to be here as usual on Sunday, with 2 services at 9 and 11. Please check your email on Sunday morning (and this page) - if there is any change in plans, I will let you know. You can also check our web home page at that time - www.HolySpiritLeesburg.org. In any event, please drive and walk safely! Personally praying for no snow, Clancy
Join us tomorrow . . . see you soon.

Church of the Holy Spirit is a fellowship of friends who love Jesus. Come experience God's love and power. We love Jesus. We love our neighbors.

We make disciples that make disciples. We plant churches that plant churches. Founded 2000 We welcome you, your family, and absolutely everyone! We enjoy worshiping the Lord together on Sundays at 9:00 AM and 11:00AM. Adult Sunday school is at 10:15; youth Sunday school is concurrent with the two services. We also have a Healing Service on the first Saturday of every month beginning at 5 PM. We believe strongly in the ministry of small groups for mutual care, fellowship, prayer and discipleship in God's Word. As we love one another, we grow into the character of the Lord Jesus. We'll help you to discover your spiritual gifts and passion, and serve using them. As we love God and our neighbors, and make disciples who make disciples, God's Kingdom is breaking in! We are a "Three Streams, One River" church: Evangelical, Charismatic, and Sacramental.

Mission: We love Jesus. We love our neighbors. We make disciples that make disciples. We plant churches that plant churches.

A Prayer For Union With Christ, by Anima Christi: “Soul of Christ, sanctify me. Body of Christ, save me. Blood of Christ, inebriate me. Water from the side of Christ, wash me. Passion of Christ, strengthen me. O good Jesus, hear me. Within thy wounds hide me. Permit me not to be separated from thee. From the wicked foe defend me. In the hour of my death call me, and bid me come to thee, that with thy saints I may praise thee for ever and ever. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019, #96).

A Prayer For Joy At The End Of Life, Miles Coverdale: “Lord Jesus, be mindful of your promise. Think of us, your servants, and when we shall depart, speak to our spirits these loving words: “Today you shall be with me in joy.” O Lord Jesus Christ, remember us, your servants who trust in you, when our tongues cannot speak, when the sight of our eyes fails, and when our ears are stopped. Let our spirits always rejoice in you and be joyful about our salvation, which you, through your death, have purchased for us. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019, #110).

I pray that you will cleanse me, strengthen me, guide me, so that in all ways my life may be lived as you would have it lived, without cowardice and for you alone. Show me how to live in true humility, true contrition, and true love. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019, #95).
