Theresa has over 25 years of experience and truly embodies the spirit of fitness and healthy living. She has always been an active athlete and delights in helping others. Theresa took this appreciation for fitness and became a trainer in the late 80’s. Helping others and guiding them to achieve their goals is her motivating force. Theresa loves to inspire, educate and motivate others while she continues to learn herself. She has had and continues to have numerous certifications (ACE, AFAA, ASFA, Mad Dogg Spinning, SPARTA, CPR/AED, special population,etc.) and is currently studying for one in nutrition and trigger point. Theresa started her training journey when other gym members would constantly ask “Can you help me?” This led to her getting her first CPT in the late 80’s. Theresa has worked as a trainer or head trainer at the following facilities: Spring Hill Recreation Center, World Gym, Healthy Inspirations Weight Loss Center and Maximum Results Fitness Studio. She has also worked as a freelance trainer. She is familiar with various training methods and has trained for and competed in bodybuilding, powerlifting, half marathons, and triathlons. Theresa has clients from 15 to 84 years of age and no matter what your age she can custom design a safe and effective training program to meet your needs. She is dedicated to assist each client to reach their full potential and fitness goals. Her motto is “What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside you.” Let Theresa bring out the best in you!

This video is a step out for me and so outside my comfort zone. For those of you who know me well, you know that I am truly an introvert. So, this is a branch out and is all about being comfortable with being uncomfortable! I practice this daily and for me it is being an extrovert. Over time it becomes easier with consistency of practice. This belief can be applied in any fascist of life and I encourage you to give it a try! Step outside of your comfort zone and you will see growth and change.

Tight gluteal and external rotators muscles have been an issue for several of my clients. Here is a great explanation and simple release technique! You all know I am always pushing the use of the foam roller! 🙂
Release gluteal and deep external rotators muscles
Description and instructions:
1️⃣ Place your hips on the roller.
2️⃣ Lean to one side, and cross on foot across the opposite leg.
3️⃣ Roll back and forth along the gluteal area.
Main points of reference:
To get the maximal effect out of this technique, make sure you cover the whole surface area of the gluteal muscles: From the sacrum to the greater trochanter.

So excited for Pat. She has lost over 25 lbs! This is a testament to her hard work and determination. Today our focus was her lower back health. We did some Good Mornings which works the spinal erectors, glutes, and hamstrings. Love this exercise. It can be used as a stretch or to increase strength.
