Addiction in a wrapper. Seriously though if you're looking for a healthier option in a snack or meal versus junk, try these bars. I like to keep bars around when I'm going to be in the run and I need something quick and easy. My go to bars are either quest bars or these.

Have you ever been in an infrared sauna? I did it for the first time. I wanted to see what it was all about. Is the hype true? Does it do what I read and hear about? Well since I only did one session I probably can't speak for all the benefits, but what I can tell you is:
I have some serious pain in my hip flexor and honestly it feels SO much better today after the session. I am extremely happy about that cuz the pain is really is getting in my way. Infrared saunas are suppose to help with muscle and joint pain by increasing circulation and inducing healing. I give it a thumbs up for that.
While I didn't drink enough water the day of, today I have flushed water through my body and I feel rejuvenated and recharged. I was feeling a bit sluggish and "off". Detox? Probably, because I can also tell you that I was sweating "vigorously". The temp got up to 144 degrees. No joke, I don't think I have ever sweat like that before. It was quite amazing.
So if you have the opportunity, I would recommend trying it if you haven't before and were wondering. Make sure you drink A LOT of water the day of and after.
Will I do it again? Yes definitely.

Goals are great. They keep you focused. You actually have something you are working toward, instead of just guessing on what you're doing. When you reach them what a boost to your confidence, mental and physical strength and being an inspiration to others that it can be done.

Found these at wegmans today. ALWAYS looking for that little treat that doesn't blow my hard work out of the park. High protein peanut butter. Just a little something that curbs the sweet craving and hits the spot without doing too much damage. I have never bought this brand because I've always had nuts n more, but I'm out. Not sure if it's any good, we shall see!!!

To all my girls out there....don't let go of your goals! I think many of us have pull up goals, and you know that you just have to keep working it!!!!! You'll get stronger! If you can't do your body weight, use bands for assistance. Your body will have to get stronger to meet the demands you put on it. So you'll get there! I typically do 5 sets of 10 at the beginning and the end of my back workouts. This is me on one set at the end of a grueling workout so I only got 8 in. 😱😱😱😱.

How do you do fitness the right way???? There are many factors to doing it right, but for starters how about not weighing yourself every single day!
Getting fit isn't about the scale as much as it's about transforming your body composition and efficiency. It's about replacing fat with lean muscle. It's about being able to run farther, lifting one more rep or set, it's about feeling stronger and looking better. It means you have to stop caring about what the scale says!!! Getting fit is measured more by your nutrition and exercise. If you are consistent with those you'll see the change and the number on the scale will become less important as a measure. The number on the scale will fluctuate on a daily basis. It will change whether you've had a lot of salt, your hormone levels, or if you have to go to the bathroom, Don't let that number have the control over your mood or progress. I rarely ever step on the scale. I view my progress on appearance, how I feel, my energy and my workouts. I think throughout my whole prep for my competition (which was about 8 months), I weighed myself about three times. Learn to be consistent with your training and your nutrition and notice changes in your body, how you feel, your energy. You'll be a lot happier than being a slave to your scale!

I forgot to post this! Have you seen that Hunts is now putting a non BPA lining in their cans? This is good I hope. Haven't researched to see if they are just replacing with another lining that is just as bad 😬. For now I'm counting this as a win!
