What do YOUR stay-at-home lunches look like these days? (and who else is getting tired of feeding these little monsters😆😫) Most days we do fast and easy like, grass-fed hot dog and apple, turkey/cheese roll-ups, almond butter on an apple or banana or an almond butter and honey sandwich. Occasionally we’ll do eggs or chicken on a salad if I’m willing to stop and “cook”. Big brother will often make lunch for the little one as well 👍 (not without whining of course 🙄) so that helps. I had a hankering for Indian Food, so we made some Indian food! I discovered this website (recipes in comments) and love love LOVE her stuff. I’ve only made paneer once from scratch years ago (with my adopted Indian Nana) so I didn’t do a great job, but still tasted delicious 🤷‍♀️😋 The bread is a paleo naan and my kids made it into “tacos” and my husband liked it better than regular naan because it doesn’t bloat/fill you up. Light and delicious! My oldest said it was one of the best dinners ever 🙌🥇🏆

Can you say balance??? 🤪 I know, I know. I’m a trainer/nutritionist, I’m here to inspire others to live healthier lives. I’m NOT supposed to posts pics of pizza, ice cream and DOUGHNUTS🍕🍦🍩 unless I’m bashing them, right?!? 😂 Wrong. THIS is who I am. I eat clean, train my body, take quality supplements and lead a very healthy lifestyle. BUT I also love sugar. Like, a lot. And during this coronaquaranmadness I’ve been baking! Sourdoughs, cinnamon buns and this past Sunday were these doughnuts. Happy Mother’s Day to me! (it took SIX HOURS #neveragain) Do I do this every day? No. Do I give myself guilt over it? No. Did I recognize I was doing it too often in April? 😆 Yes. But, survival, right? 🤷‍♀️ Anyway, my point is there is a balance in life. I’m not a either/or trainer. I’m an “and” trainer. That is how I found MY way to a healthier, happier and most fit self at age 44 and a half. (Yes I just celebrated my half-birthday thankyouverymuch) And it’s how I lead my clients as well. Guiding them to find their balance between happy and healthy, inside and out. Maybe there’s wine 🍷 maybe there’s cheese 🧀 (who am I kidding, there’s probably both 😄🤷‍♀️) but there’s also a workout that they love and peace of mind knowing they are spending time nurturing their bodies and mind with the things they need most. Being part of a global pandemic wasn’t anything we ever planned for, so it’s time to stop being so hard on ourselves. We are all new to this quarantine-life. We weren’t prepared to handle these huge changes, and so quickly. Everything is still changing week to week, it’s hard to keep up. All this uncertainty is unsettling and anxiety is through the roof. Well, it doesn’t have to be this way.

As we enter month three of the crisis I invite you to join our community. A group of women dedicated to self-care, healthy habits and community support. This is a small, private group but I am re-opening the doors to ten new women starting next week.

In our 6-week Self-Care Challenge we will navigate this new and ever-changing world together. [03/19/20]   I did my first ZOOM personal training session today and it was AWESOME💪💪💪 I mean, nothing beats in person but being with “my people” lifts me 🙌 My business is taking a hit for sure like most service-based but I’m using every resource I can in between kid-time (24/7 🤪) and I just have the best most supportive clients ever ❤️ ❤️❤️ I’m committed to helping them maintain sanity, healthy self-care routines and MUSCLE MASS! Going for walks is necessary for everyone but doing some HIIT and picking up some weight just gets the endorphins going.
