PLEASE...when driving nails in an outside wall, take care to be sure you won’t hit the refrigerant lines going to your outside unit.
If your indoor unit is in the attic, the refrigerant lines usually extend vertically up from where they exit the wall going to the outside unit.
Hey everyone...just a PSA!!!

[06/05/18] Whether you own a medical laboratory or an auto shop, you may worry about the health and safety of employees constantly exposed to fumes. In many cases, you can mitigate their risks by taking the proper safety precautions, including installing the right ventilation system.
[05/31/18] Did you realize that your HVAC system is vulnerable to energy spikes and lightning strikes? One way to make sure it's protected is with a whole-home surge suppressor, a larger version of the outlet variety you use with your electronic equipment.
[05/29/18] There have been many new developments in natural gas air conditioning technology. They provide much higher levels of energy efficiency and reliability than older systems, and are now available in a variety of sizes to meet your needs.
[05/24/18] It’s important to remember that your business doesn’t have to be treated like all the rest when it comes to your HVAC design and install. If your business has special needs because of the industry, we’re always happy to meet your standards.
[05/22/18] Did you know that each year, grease fires result in over $100 million in property damage of commercial restaurants? Our Industrial and Commercial maintenance and repair services include examining restaurant kitchen exhausts.
[05/18/18] You can improve employee morale and productivity by upgrading your air-conditioning system. Studies show that when interior temperatures are maintained at a comfortable level, employees experience fewer distractions and are able to focus directly on their work.
[05/18/18] The need for heat has fueled significant innovation. In 1795, American millwright Oliver Evans published schematics for a breakthrough central hot-air heating system. It had a main furnace to heat air coupled with a network of ducts to distribute that air to rooms throughout the home.
[05/10/18] Many commercial buildings, such as strip malls, feature different areas that have entirely different heating or cooling requirements. If this is the case, then an HVAC commercial installer can set up a zone control system that can be managed individually.
[05/08/18] For older structures, we recommend conducting an energy audit. This unobtrusive procedure identifies areas of greatest usage, locates areas where hot or cold air is lost, and identifies times of peak use. With this data, proper analysis of the HVAC system efficiency is possible.

[11/07/17] If you use a home testing kit to check for gas leaks in your furnace, a “negative” or “not found” reading does not mean a problem does not exist; it only means that a test was not positive. Have the system checked by a qualified service technician is the safest approach.
[11/02/17] If your heating vents through a pre-existing chimney (most commonly found in older structures), blockages, poor insulation, or loose bricks can contribute to combustible gas spillage, a process that indicates poor ventilation of combustion gases.
[10/31/17] Are you looking for a quality space heater? The best space heaters have some type of guard covering the heating mechanism to prevent you from burning yourself. Ask an HVAC professional for suggestions on quality space heaters.
[10/26/17] You may need to replace your heating if your system is an old coal burner that was previously switched over to oil or gas, or if it is a gas furnace without electronic ignition. If your system still has a pilot light, it was probably installed before 1992 and has the lowest-possible efficiency rate.
[10/24/17] Did you know that certain types of furnaces run off of a low-moisture corn? Since the same corn you can find at feed stores is the fuel source, it's usually easy to find enough fuel in the winter.
[10/19/17] If you have a gas or oil powered heating unit, and you notice loose or broken parts, or you see holes where it looks like something was removed, have the unit serviced immediately. Because of the intricacies of these appliances, a missing or broken part could be disastrous.
[10/17/17] Geothermal heat pumps (GHPs) are expensive and difficult to install. However, the EPA estimates that a geothermal heat pump can cut your heating energy costs by anywhere from 30 to 70 percent.
[10/12/17] A furnace transfers the heat to the air through tubes and fins that have a large surface area to maximize the heat transfer. Before they install the furnace, heating experts will make sure the fins and tubes are free of visible problems or disconnections that could cause issues.
[10/10/17] Are you concerned that it will simply cost too much more than you can afford to replace that problematic heating system in your home? Rest assured that we’ll do everything we can to help you find an affordable replacement when your unit is beyond repair.
[10/05/17] In a hydronic (or hot water baseboard) heating system, hot water is piped to "fin-tube" radiator units mounted on the walls. These systems are quiet and energy efficient. However, the units must remain unobstructed by drapes or furniture.
[10/03/17] Did you know that geothermal heating is considered to be one of the safest heating options? As these systems do not use flammable fossil fuels to function, there is no combustion, chance of an explosion, hazardous fumes, or risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.
[09/28/17] "HVAC" stands for "heating, ventilation, and air conditioning." HVAC involves the technology of maintaining environmental comfort indoors and inside vehicles. This technology is part of mechanical engineering and involves thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer technology.
[09/26/17] Air-conditioned hospitals have helped to defeat malaria, decrease infant mortality, inhibit bacteria, and advance developments in surgery. Before this innovation, life expectancy and the fight against disease were hindered by the weather.
[09/21/17] Did you know that running appliances like your dishwasher can increase the temperature in your home? When appliances and the temperatures outside are both making your home hot, your AC unit will have to work twice as hard to cool your home.
[09/19/17] Do you know how to select the right HVAC system for your home? First, you will need to make sure the unit is properly sized. We can provide a load calculation for your home. You will also want an energy analysis to determine operating costs, and you’ll want to consider any comfort issues in the home.
This is why you have your unit serviced every year.
The condenser coil is where the refrigerant in your system is condensed from a vapor into a liquid. If the coil is dirty, that doesn't happen. The system will run and even (maybe) cool...but it will not have the capacity that you need even though it is still using excessive energy.
It's like have a Smart Car and getting the gas mileage of a Hummer.
Another company told these people that they had to replace their unit when actually all it needed was a little TLC!
[09/14/17] If you are looking to install an HVAC cooling system and your home doesn’t already have ducts, then you might want to consider a split ductless system. Unlike central systems, split ductless systems need no ductwork, making them less expensive to install in most cases.
[09/12/17] It’s important to remember that an air conditioning system that can’t keep your house cool when it’s hot outside isn’t always just about the air conditioner itself. Ensuring that all your doors and windows are properly sealed could help with the issue.
[09/07/17] Does someone in your home suffer from severe allergies – be it seasonal, pet or indoor? If so, let’s talk about additional filtering options that can be installed in your system to lessen the allergens in your air.
[09/05/17] When it comes to investing in an HVAC cooling unit, size ultimately matters. Thus, it’s important to understand your cooling needs ahead of time. If the unit you buy is too big, your living space may become cold and clammy and basically uncomfortable.
[08/31/17] Looking for a more efficient air conditioner? Then you'll want to look at the unit's SEER rating, or Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio. This measures how well an A/C unit performs or how much electricity it uses, and is usually in a range from 13 to 18.
