[04/22/20] The Hot Springs Police Department would like to give a special thanks to our office administrator, Darcie Engel, on administrative specialist day. We could not do the job we do without her support. She is amazing.
[04/14/20] Black Hills area schools have organized a be the light campaign for the class of 2020. This Thursday 4/16 (4+16=20) at the 20th hour (8pm) at the 20th minute the lights at Woodward Field will be turned on to show our support for the class of 2020. Those interested are encouraged to drive by the football field and honk in support. Please do not stop or try to come onto the field as we will still encourage everyone to practice social distancing. At that time other area schools are going to be participating in this event.
[04/11/20] Thanks to Family Dollar for the donation of water, pop, and some candy to the Police Department and Sheriff's Office. Very wonderful gesture.

NOTICE OF QUORUM-SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE
This is to serve as Notice that a quorum of the Hot Springs City Council will be in attendance at a Special Council Meeting to be held at the Mueller Civic Center at 801 S. 6th St. Hot Springs, SD on Wednesday the 1st of April at 6:00 PM. First reading of Ordinance 1212- An emergency ordinance to address a public health crisis by implementing certain measures which have been deemed necessary to slow the community spread of the Coronaviris (COVID-19).

[03/17/20] Regarding our last post about the gentleman on the bike that we wanted to talk too. We have made contact with him and all is well. It appears it was a misunderstanding and no criminal activity was occurring.

Be careful of a very legit-sounding voicemail from a lady, saying: “Hello, this is Nurse Jen calling to follow up on your tests from yesterday. Unfortunately you DID test positive for coronavirus. No need to panic, but call us back with your credit card handy so we can overnight you your antibiotics. It’s important that you and any family or roommates STAY HOME. Call us so we can get you your meds and give you further quarantine instructions.”
