[04/29/20]   Public Service Announcement: The cemetery is not to smoke your meth. I thought this was self explanatory but apparently not.

[04/22/20]   The Hot Springs Police Department would like to give a special thanks to our office administrator, Darcie Engel, on administrative specialist day. We could not do the job we do without her support. She is amazing.

[04/14/20]   Black Hills area schools have organized a be the light campaign for the class of 2020. This Thursday 4/16 (4+16=20) at the 20th hour (8pm) at the 20th minute the lights at Woodward Field will be turned on to show our support for the class of 2020. Those interested are encouraged to drive by the football field and honk in support. Please do not stop or try to come onto the field as we will still encourage everyone to practice social distancing. At that time other area schools are going to be participating in this event.

[04/11/20]   Thanks to Family Dollar for the donation of water, pop, and some candy to the Police Department and Sheriff's Office. Very wonderful gesture.

[03/17/20]   Regarding our last post about the gentleman on the bike that we wanted to talk too. We have made contact with him and all is well. It appears it was a misunderstanding and no criminal activity was occurring.

[03/16/20]   **CORONAVIRUS SCAM HEADS-UP**

Be careful of a very legit-sounding voicemail from a lady, saying: “Hello, this is Nurse Jen calling to follow up on your tests from yesterday. Unfortunately you DID test positive for coronavirus. No need to panic, but call us back with your credit card handy so we can overnight you your antibiotics. It’s important that you and any family or roommates STAY HOME. Call us so we can get you your meds and give you further quarantine instructions.”

[03/14/20]   Roads are terrible in town (probably in the county as well) so please stay home. SD Department of Transportation has advised no travel in our area.
