Our Green House is now "GREEN" and currently a "living laboratory" where Early Childhood students are becoming active participants in a "gardening' curriculum. We are visiting our newly renovated Green House daily to watch our micro-greens grow!
Micro-greens are tiny, edible greens grown from the seeds of vegetables, beans and herbs. Our main goal with this activity is to teach our students that growing our own foods is one of the most powerful steps towards improving our health! Our next steps? Create some delicious dishes using these edible greens and incorporate cooking into our curriculum as well! 🌿
Feelin' that gratitude attitude today (and everyday!). Happy Thanksgiving from the Henderson International family!
At HIS, we pride ourselves on our culturally diverse student body. As such, we have invited our parents on campus to visit with our Early Childhood students and share their family’s culture, language, geography, and customs. This past Friday, during Grandparents Day, the Patel Families visited our school to introduce our students to the wonderful and colorful world of India. We transformed our Learning Commons into a dynamic and colorful India experience and two special visitors joined us to perform a traditional Indian dance!
