Touro University Nevada School of Physical Therapy

Touro University Nevada School of Physical Therapy offers an Entry-level Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.

Touro University Nevada School of Physical Therapy was founded in 2008 and offers an Entry-level Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. The School of Physical Therapy’s philosophy is aligned with the institutional mission of To Serve, To Lead, and To Teach.

It is the role of the physical therapist (PT) to help individuals enhance the quality of their lives – by providing therapies, consultation, and educational outreach. Our Doctor of Physical Therapy program will prepare students for all this and more, through our unique focus on creating practitioner leaders who thrive in a variety of healthcare contexts.

Touro University Nevada was established to help address critical needs in health care and education, and as a resource for community service in the state of Nevada. A non-profit, private institution affiliated with an international system of higher education, the university opened its doors in 2004 with 78 medical students. Today, TUN is home to more than 1,400 students in a wide range of degree programs in allied health sciences and education, as well as osteopathic medicine. Many of these programs are the first of their kind in the state of Nevada.

The TUN campus is also home to both a full-service, multi-specialty physicians office, staffed by practicing faculty members, and a multidisciplinary Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities. In addition to serving the community through care, both facilities serve as on site learning laboratories for students across the disciplines.

**Posting of marketing messages, advertising commercial entities, or for-profit events is not encouraged on this page. Please refrain from posting information/links/flyers that is not sponsored by TUN. This page is solely for Touro University Nevada related information.**

Mission: To provide quality educational programs in the fields of health care and education in concert with the Judaic commitment to social justice, intellectual pursuit, and service to humanity.

One final shot of the conference attendees to the 2019 APTA Combined Sections Meeting held in Washington DC. A good time was had by all, but it's time to head home!

CSM Life: sometimes the faculty even run into each other.

CSM Life: Defining moments seem to happen on the escalators. Dr. Jacqueline Randa cherishes a quick photo op with 2020s Matt Perry, Jeff Ryemon, Irene Morrow, Aundrea Perez, Emily Rocawich, and Katherine Gabler. Good times!

CSM Life: Dr. Lawrence Contreras enjoys a moment of contemplative reflection with 2020s Emigdio Angeles and Michael Stern.

CSM Life: Ocherie Pantaleon (2020) has a little fun in the Toy Store ... er... Exhibit Hall at CSM in DC. Her performance earned her a phone charger that she gifted to Dr. Randa (see earlier post for the tale of Dr. Randa's phone woes).

More pics for the CSM album.

How fun to run into our own students so far from home!
Dr. Stacy Fisher shares a selfie moment with 2020s Clarice Kim, Edwin Lopez, Ocherie Pantaleon, Andrew Vo, and Katrina Espanol.

Congratulations!! To Dr. Stacy Fisher who was honored as an Outstanding Educator by the Academy of Acute Care Physical Therapy while attending the APTA's Combined Sections Meeting in Washington, DC this week.

Drs. Lawrence Contreras and Jacqueline Randa were honored as members of the largest cohort ever of new Clinical Specialists at the opening ceremony of the APTA's Combined Sections Meeting.

Drs. Gretchen Haase and Jacqueline Randa prove they aren't afraid of a little bad weather while at CSM in DC.

[01/24/19]   CSM Life:
Dr. Randa: Ugh! My phone died!
Dr. Haase: Don't you have one of those chargers?
Dr. Randa: No.
Dr. Haase: You need to get one of those chargers.
Dr. Randa: Now I don't know what class I'm taking this afternoon. I don't have my map! I don't know how to get back to the hotel! And my steps aren't counting for Walk4Wheels!
Dr. Haase: First world problems.

The man is everywhere! Drs. Stacy Fisher and Gretchen Haase shared a quick reunion with Dr. RJ Williams (2013) at CSM in DC.

Look who I found! Emily Rocawich, Katrina Espanol, Clarice Kim (DPT2020)! Welcome to DC and CSM!

CSM Life! Random meet-ups with local celebrities. Had to come all the way to DC to catch up with NVPTA President, TUN adjunct and alum Dr. RJ Williams (2013)!

[01/22/19]   Anybody else f-f-f-freezing in DC right now? Good grief, it's cold, but let's get this CSM thing going, shall we? Preconference tomorrow. What are YOU taking?

CONGRATULATIONS!!! To Dr. Becca (Marshall) Williams (2107) and new daddy Beau who welcomed little 6# 12oz, 18" Braylee Rae on January 15! We wish you a lifetime of loving happiness!
