Touro University Nevada School of Physical Therapy offers an Entry-level Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.
Touro University Nevada School of Physical Therapy was founded in 2008 and offers an Entry-level Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. The School of Physical Therapy’s philosophy is aligned with the institutional mission of To Serve, To Lead, and To Teach.
It is the role of the physical therapist (PT) to help individuals enhance the quality of their lives – by providing therapies, consultation, and educational outreach. Our Doctor of Physical Therapy program will prepare students for all this and more, through our unique focus on creating practitioner leaders who thrive in a variety of healthcare contexts.
Touro University Nevada was established to help address critical needs in health care and education, and as a resource for community service in the state of Nevada. A non-profit, private institution affiliated with an international system of higher education, the university opened its doors in 2004 with 78 medical students. Today, TUN is home to more than 1,400 students in a wide range of degree programs in allied health sciences and education, as well as osteopathic medicine. Many of these programs are the first of their kind in the state of Nevada.
The TUN campus is also home to both a full-service, multi-specialty physicians office, staffed by practicing faculty members, and a multidisciplinary Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities. In addition to serving the community through care, both facilities serve as on site learning laboratories for students across the disciplines.
**Posting of marketing messages, advertising commercial entities, or for-profit events is not encouraged on this page. Please refrain from posting information/links/flyers that is not sponsored by TUN. This page is solely for Touro University Nevada related information.**
Mission: To provide quality educational programs in the fields of health care and education in concert with the Judaic commitment to social justice, intellectual pursuit, and service to humanity.

CONGRATULATIONS!! To Dr. Jessica (Young) Kase (2014) and her husband Ben who are the proud parents (again!) of little Nolan Scott Kase. Nolan made his entrance a little early at 36 weeks weighing 4 lbs, 6 oz at 17” long. He had to spend a week in the hospital gaining a little strength, but tonight the family, including Big Sis Addie (who just turned two), is home healthy and happy! We all wish the Kase family a lifetime of loving happiness!
CONGRATULATIONS!!! To Dr. Ryan Carpenter, MDT (2015) who has earned certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment through the McKenzie Institute. It took Ryan about 2 ½ years to take the four courses, A through D, and then take the Credentialing Exam. During that time he worked on implementing his training through his clinical practice. The biggest change that it made in his treatment, he says, is that it has given him a more “hands off” approach and has taught him to empower the patient to participate actively in their own treatment. He chose to dive into MDT because of the effectiveness of the method that he saw during his last Clinical Experience. Ryan emphasizes that the McKenzie method is more than just exercises; it is a standardized approach to patient care that provides for a systematic method of evaluation, classification, and treatment. Well done, Dr. Carpenter! We are so proud of you!
Save the date! Y'all come back now, y'hear!
