Disciple is coming to your area Sunday, August 4th. This is one of the best bands in Christian Rock. People accept Christ every night at their concerts. People find hope and lay down addictions because of this band. Now they have a chance to minister to your congregation and your area. Please tell your congregation and youth group about it. Someone from your congregation or a friend or family member of theirs could be impacted because of this show if you spread the word. Event info can be found at https://www.facebook.com/events/958067397724888/?ti=icl
David and I attended and we had a wonderful time. Virginia Ricketts is amazing and makes Dressing like my family. We met people so interesting and fun. Also, being with our dear friends Gene and Olive Dempsey is always fun. Father Steven was a perfect host. Those that couldn’t make it, were missed.
Hi! We have developed a new app for fundraising. It's completely digital and we are local to Fort Smith. We'd love if you checked us out!
The Laity needs to keep their hands down at their sides or together in prayer, BUT NOT up in the air like the Priest. FYI. 😇
Have you ever had a desire to become a foster parent? If so, I would love to talk with you!! We are looking for a few more individuals/couples interested in opening their home for as a foster home to children in need of loving homes!. We only have a few spots open! We are able to license, train, open, and provide placement in 30 days! Let us know how we can help!
Is there going to be a thanksgiving mass?

Buenas noches mi querida familia de I.C.,

[07/12/20]   Please read the following letter from our pastor, Father John.

Good evening, I.C. Family,

It seems highly likely that one of our church staff has contracted the COVID-19 virus. This staff person has been in close contact with family members who tested positive, and is now showing clear symptoms of this virus. This person will be tested tomorrow (July 13) and will hopefully learn the results within a few days.

Therefore, exercising an abundance of caution, we will cancel our daily Masses for this coming week, from Monday, July 13 through Friday, July 17th. That is, we will NOT have our daily 7 a.m. English Mass nor 6 p.m. Spanish Mass. Additionally, the priests will NOT hear confessions on Tuesday or Thursday from 5 - 6 p.m. The church, however, will be open for private prayer from 6 a.m. till 7 p.m. daily, and regularly and thoroughly sanitized.

The church offices will be closed to the public starting Monday, July 13, until further notice. All the church staff will be tested for possible infection on Monday. We will follow all protocols from the state Health Department and the Diocese regarding testing and contact tracing. Above all, we want to ensure the safety of our staff and our parishioners, especially those most vulnerable.

We did not have much time to make this announcement, and I realize it will come as a surprise (and inconvenience) to those who attend daily Masses. Please help me share this announcement among our parishioners and with those who attend daily Mass. Signs will be posted on the church doors and shared on social media.

Last week I presided at the funerals of two parishioners who died from COVID-19. The reality of this pandemic is hitting very close to home, and should be approached with utmost seriousness. Please pray for our church staff and personally exercise every precaution to prevent the spread of this disease.

God bless!
Fr. John
