Fort Smith Fire Department

My grandson saw the lights and immediately grabbed his fire truck to help. He sat and watched until they left. I don't know his name, but the driver of the truck saw him and went out of his way to bring him a fire hat from the truck. He made one 2 year old boy the happiest little boy in town. Thank you guys
I noticed the other day that a fire Hydrant on Clover Drive on Southside of town was leaking, who do I need to get in touch with?
Fort Smith Fire Department I recently asked Ballman Elementary School why they could not have plastic barriers installed in their classrooms? There response was it would not pass fire code requirements. I came across another post from a Fayetteville teacher that said the same thing. What exactly would be the concern? Why would this be a code violation? I've included a picture of the barrier and the response from Ballman elementary, and the Fayetteville teacher's post.
So proud of my brother Mickey Elmore a proud Fort Smith Fireman. ❤️
The crews of P-10 and P-11 helped fill the FlowRider at Parrot Island so that everyone could get back to riding some waves. The management brought by a lot of thank you snacks. Thanks to everyone at Parrot Island.
Crews from Ladder 3 and Pumper 11 training on high angle rescue last night.
Crews from Ladder 2, Ladder 4, & Rescue 1 practiced some extrication techniques this morning in the heat and humidity. We try to prepare for any scenario we can think of. If we can't access a patient from the sides, we may have to tunnel through and bring them out the back. Thanks to Rick's Auto Parts for providing vehicles and setting them up for our scenarios.
Who do I call to get a suite inspected so I can get a business license? We had hoped to open June 1st. Any help is greatly appreciated.
FSFD and FSEMS showing support for Cooper Pyeatt. The son of battalion Chief Les Pyeatt was diagnosed with Leukemia.
As a resident of downtown Fort Smith I just want to say how much I enjoy listening to the bagpipes.

40/29 Lydia Fielder

Sept. 11, 2020 #MorningMinute: Ringing in Remembrance of the Fallen

Led by Cpt. Ethan Millard, the Fort Smith Fire Department rang the last alarm bell to reflect each time a loss of life moment happened on this day 19 years ago in New York, D.C, and Pennsylvania.

The Fire Bell rang at the following times:

• 8:46 am (Flight 11 hits North Tower)
• 9:03 am (Flight 175 hits South Tower)
• 9:37 am (Flight 77 hits Pentagon)
• 9:59 am (South Tower collapses)
• 10:03 am (Flight 93 crashes in Shanksville)
• 10:28 am (North Tower of the World Trade Center collapses)

Tune in to 40/29 News tonight as our 40/29 Brett Rains gives a deeper look at the ceremony.

While the Coronavirus has changed the way we interact with one another, it has not affected our Remembrance of 9/11. Today we pay special tribute to the victims of that tragic day. #NeverForget
