At approx 3pm there was a high-speed chase in our area. It began when a motorcyclist fled from a traffic stop in Campbellsport. Chase moved onto 41 northbound with speeds of over 110 miles per hour. Officers tried boxing him in at Hickory St , but weren't able to safely do so. Cyclist exited on Military Rd - City Supervisor directed that the chase be terminated.
UPDATED INFO - after reviewing the chase call, spike strips were discussed but NOT deployed after the Officer learned that it was a motorcycle chase and not a car. Our apologies for the original post - as you can imagine it is difficult to hear everything with so many officers involved.

I went to an unaccompanied funeral for an Army veteran and Navy veteran last week, both Korean War era vets. I was blown away by how many people showed up, vets and active duty to pay respects. Just goes to show the depth of the brotherhood and sisterhood of the military. Not everyone “gets it”, and that’s ok. Every veteran has a story to tell no matter how boring or thrilling, and we heal our own issues by relishing in that camaraderie. This Veterans Day many will gather together from all eras and all walks of life, brought together by a mutual bond of honor, respect, and devotion to the freedoms we protect. 🇺🇸
