Motivation Fitness is a Zumba and Zumba specialty studio, dedicated to its students. All classes are fun and friendly. All are welcome to come shake it!
When enough is enough
It is only when we view the idea of staying the same as more painful than taking the required action to change that we can really transform.
For many people, it’s been a clothing-related incident that has made them step into action – everything from not being able to zip up pants to a full-on breakdown when they discover they have gone up a whole size since last spring.
For others, it’s a terrifying incident – bad news from a doctor, an unnecessary death from a family member…
Whatever the case is for you, you will only ever be consistent with your fitness and nutrition and achieve/maintain your desired result when staying the same is no longer an option for you.
If you’re not happy with your situation, but you can live with it, the chances of you following through on the actions required to achieve your goals are small.
Working out is uncomfortable and sweaty. There is soreness and exhaustion.
Changing your eating can be even harder and can even affect social relationships.
However, if having a body you’re proud of and the health you deserve are the priority over staying comfortable, start taking small daily steps toward creating it.
Leave the sugar out of your coffee.
Walk up the stairs rather than taking the elevator.
Do squats while you’re watching TV.
Go to bed an hour earlier.
Order the protein and veggies over the burger and fries.
Every choice we make throughout the day adds up.
And usually, it’s too much to try to do it all alone long-term.
Which is where I come in. 🙂
If you’re feeling in your gut that enough is finally enough, it’s time for us to have a conversation.
I bring empathy, compassion, and years of experience to coaching you through your transformation.
But I also bring accountability, and I’ll call out your excuses and the things that have held you back for years.
This is why Motivation Fitness students get great results. With a motivating environment, a community that will help drive you to your goal and classes that seem like more of a PARTY than a workout, you are guaranteed to see the results you desire when you break your mindset, come in and push yourself (with our help of course) and trust the program.
So, let’s talk.
Comment below and we’ll get you scheduled ASAP.
Ignore the highlights reel 🎥
Social media is an incredible platform that has brought humans from all over together and made the world a much smaller place.
It’s also a platform that has allowed people to build businesses, raise funds for charitable causes, and to spread social awareness…as well as many other things.
But the flip side of that is that social media has also created the perception that everyone’s life is more amazing than yours.
They’re more successful, have happier families, vacation more…
And what I’m here to remind you of today is the importance of ignoring the highlight reel.
When you see magical things happening for everyone else online, don’t fall into the trap of thinking that’s their reality 100% of the time.
With the explosion of social media, depression and anxiety have also dramatically increased.
It’s easier said than done, but comparing yourself to others is one of the most dangerous games to play…especially when you’re typically only getting the highlight reel.
My suggestion is to use the social media highlight reel to empower yourself rather than to compare yourself.
Is someone crushing their New Year’s resolution in the gym while you’ve not gotten started yet?
Let that person’s newfound dedication inspire you. Reach out to them and ask what they’ve been doing. Even ask them for support and accountability.
Use the things that previously got you down or made you feel less-than for your greater good.
It’s not always an easy mindset shift to make, but it’s a powerful one.
I would love for you to comment below and let me know how this sits with you.
❤️ A different kind of Valentine’s Day Wish ❤️
Since the year 496, Valentine’s Day has been celebrated in some form – bet you didn’t know that! 😃
It’s a day not just to express love for a significant other, but it’s also a day to express admiration and appreciation for other incredible people in our lives. ✨
And that’s YOU!
Whether you’re currently working out with us here at Motivation Fitness, you’ve worked out with us in the past, or working with us is simply on your radar but you haven’t taken the first step yet, I want you to know that we APPRECIATE you so very much.
Time is our most precious gift. ⏱
So, you might be spending a few hours a week working out with us or simply a few minutes a week reading our emails and posts…
Either way, I want you to know how much we value you and the time you give us.
I think it’s incredibly important to show appreciation.
We live in a world that’s becoming faster paced and less connected by the day.
Technology, social media, and our busy lives dictate what gets our energy and attention instead of the things that matter. 👫
So, in honor of Valentine’s Day, I’d love for you to join me in doing 3 things:
1️⃣ Tell all of the important people in your life how much they matter to you and how much you appreciate them. 🌹
2️⃣ Get clear on what really matters to you so you can make it a priority instead of getting lost in the chaos of life. 🔮
3️⃣ Choose one person in your life that you know really needs to receive a supportive message of appreciation today and tag them in this post. 💎
We hope you have the most wonderful and fulfilling day today!
Communicate with the people who matter most to you.
And again, thank you for sharing this space on your social media with us. ❤
Your resolution need a reboot?
Through the hustle and bustle of the holidays, it’s so easy to put off our self-care, exercise, and good nutrition until that magical moment everything changes and you have all the time in the world to focus on your health and fitness – the New Year.
I joke. 🙂
But no matter how many years people repeat the process, we just can’t seem to wrap our heads around how to make time NOW for change.
What I can tell you with certainty is that the majority of people who swore in the New Year they were going to focus on their health and fitness is that they have already fallen back into old habits and patterns.
I know it’s only February but that’s the truth.
If you’re still in the game working toward that resolution, you’re the exception rather than the rule!
And I absolutely commend you for that!
But if you just didn’t find that motivation to get started or stick with it…
If you kept saying “tomorrow” or “Monday” and never got off the ground…
If you’re disappointed in yourself because you’re not doing what you swore you’d do…
Let me help.
It’s possible to make 2020 your healthiest and strongest year yet no matter your age, past failures, and life situation.
All you’ve got to do is decide. And then, start.
Decide on commitment. Decide on different. Decide you’re going to work and fight for your best life.
I would love nothing more than to serve as your guide and keep you accountable along the way.
All you’ve got to do is comment below or message me and I’ll take care of the rest.
A love challenge
Because February is the month of love, I want to offer a unique challenge to you.
First, I want you to write a list of the things you love about yourself.
About how you look…
About who you are…
About how you treat other people…
About what you’ve accomplished…
The list can be as long as you want it to be.
Side note: if you struggle with this, it’s even more important that you complete this exercise.
Once you’ve completed your list, I want you to stand in front of a mirror and read the list aloud, glancing into your own eyes so you can see and feel the truth of it all.
Deep breaths as you move through it without rushing.
Even feel free to close your eyes as you allow the emotion of those things you love about yourself to sweep through your body and amplify.
Do this every day for at least a week.
Feel free to add to the list at any time.
Until you do this exercise, you can’t imagine how powerful it will be.
So, will you trust me and do this?
I hope so.
Because loving yourself more is the key to making progress in so many other areas of life.
Let me know how this goes or what comes up for you once you’ve completed the exercise, ok?
I can’t wait to celebrate you. ❤️
The Perfect Valentine
Whether you think of candlelight dinner and chocolates or you think of Valentine’s Day with disdain, there’s no doubt that it’s all about LOVE.
But do you celebrate the perfect Valentine?
The one who you should be loving each and every day?
You might have guessed but that every day Valentine is YOU.
It’s so easy to love other people – family, children, friends…
But that self-love that is oh-so-popular to talk about on blogs and on Instagram is such a foreign concept to way too many people.
We put ourselves last & on the back-burner.
We say the unkindest words to ourselves in our heads – words we’d never speak to another human.
We sacrifice day after day because it’s “selfish” if we don’t.
On this Valentine’s Day, I want you to do something different.
I want you to celebrate YOU.
Whether it’s buying yourself a rose, going for a glass of wine solo, taking quiet time to read that you usually give up for family, or maybe it’s even standing in front of the mirror and speaking aloud kind, loving words to yourself about yourself.
Because the thing is, when we love ourselves more we’re happier and everyone around us benefits from that happiness.
We are better spouses and parents, we perform better at work, we sleep better…
Literally everything changes when you create more happiness via self-love and appreciation.
I would be SO HAPPY if you’d comment below and tell me what you’re going to do to show yourself some love this Valentine’s Day so I can celebrate that with you. 💖

When you give it all away
I can’t quite figure out when culturally we decided that giving all of ourselves away was the thing we had to do.
Whether you’re career-driven, a parent, or otherwise, the common thing is to give it all away – your time, your energy, and your attention – and leave nothing for yourself.
We believe it makes us good parents and spouses.
We believe it makes us the most dedicated workers.
But when all we do is help others and leave nothing for ourselves aside from an empty brain and a body completely drained of energy at the end of the day, no one really wins.
This isn’t to say you should shirk your obligations…that’s not realistic.
But re-prioritizing your energy and attention is entirely doable.
Because the truth is that when you make the time for yourself to exercise, have alone time, and to eat well, everyone benefits.
You are a BETTER parent and spouse.
You perform in your job BETTER.
You are HAPPIER.
And when you’re happier, so is everyone else in your life.
Happiness is magnetic.
So is drained energy and stress.
The excuse is made far too often that we don’t have the time to do the things that fill us up.
But we all have 24 hours in a day – 24 hours is the great equalizer for humanity.
And you do get to choose (even if it feels like maybe you don’t).
So, what would fill your cup?
What would energize you and inspire you, resulting in being better for everyone else across all areas of life?
One of the things I find with my students is that being part of the community I’ve built changes everything for them.
They’re finally able to commit to their fitness routine and eating healthier long-term.
Their energy rises. They smile more. They beam with confidence.
They become even more magnetic.
If this is something you know you need, comment below or send me a message right now so we can schedule a time to speak.
Everything is possible.
What do you want for yourself?

Resolutions got you down?
I wanted to take a moment to check in with you…
If you’re anything like me, you always enter each New Year with the best of intentions.
You set goals across all areas of your life from your finances to your fitness.
And if you’re also like me, you’re crazy busy, and sometimes life just happens.
While as a fitness professional I do tend to stick with my fitness routine, I totally relate to dropping the ball on my other goals/resolutions before January is even over.
This is obviously something we’ve seen a lot of over the years here at Motivation Fitness.
People come in determined and inspired to stick with their fitness routine and achieve their goals once and for all.
What hasn’t changed is that life always happens.
And if you’re not prepared for it, it will destroy your ability to achieve your goals.
You’ll find yourself sad, discouraged, and at some point, going through the pain of starting over AGAIN.
You become disappointed in yourself and beat yourself up for letting yourself down again.
And the cycle continues.
If this resonates with you at all, I want you to know that the secret to getting out of this rut is to take a different action RIGHT NOW.
Own that everything is a choice, and you can still choose to move forward on that resolution at ANY time.
Know that motivation is only created by action and results, not the other way around – so don’t wait for it!
And I’m here to help.
I am personally inviting you to come in and try a class.
This program is different from everything else you’ve tried before. Every class is a party and you will not find a community as welcoming as the one here at Motivation Fitness!
In fact, if you have not met Yomaira, you are missing out on a great story!
“I started at Motivation Fitness in March 2019 when I signed up for the 16 week challenge. I had a great experience and discovered another part of me that I didn't know I had. My passion for dancing. What better way to do it than working out with new friends and good people. I didn't stop there. I continued going to my regular classes and now I'm down 55.8 pounds and a total of 26" lost. I love Motivation Fitness, the instructors and the program so much that I recently became a certified Zumba® instructor! I feel like my story and what I have overcome will one day help someone else develop the confidence to dance their self into better shape!”
We are so proud of Yomaira’s story and know that this will work for you too.
Just know, you are not alone in this!

6 steps to achieving anything
One of the things I am most passionate about is helping people achieve things they thought were previously impossible. The amazing thing about working with people in fitness is that once they start to achieve those “impossible” feats, it trickles over into other areas of life.
Someone who loses 50 pounds or conquers new feats of strength for the first time suddenly gets a promotion at work, gains the confidence to quit their job and start that business they’ve been dreaming about, or even leave a relationship that made them unhappy and wasn’t serving them.
It’s truly incredible to witness these total life transformations over and over again. And I believe it comes down to following these 6 steps:
1. Identify your impossible goal. What’s that thing you’ve been dreaming about but haven’t committed to or verbalized?
2. Commit to a deadline. Write it down. Make it non-negotiable. Look at the goal and deadline every day.
3. Reverse engineer the steps it’s going to take to achieve that goal. Ask for support from a friend or coach if you’re not sure.
4. Ask yourself “what will it cost me to achieve this goal?” Will it cost money, time, or giving up things you enjoy like television? Make sure you’re willing to commit to the cost no matter what.
5. Ask yourself “who do I have to become to make this happen? Do you need to become a morning person, more independent, or figure out a way to eliminate excuses from your vocabulary? You MUST check in on yourself every day to ensure you are becoming who you need to achieve the goal.
6. Find someone who believes in you and get them to hold you accountable. Very few people achieve goals entirely on their own. Having a coach to support you is one of the BEST things you can do. They will give you honest feedback, help identify your blind spots, and help you strategize when you feel like your plan isn’t working.
Ok, now it’s your turn!
Give it some thought (or maybe you know right away) then share with me your IMPOSSIBLE GOAL! It is only by setting, working toward, and achieving the “impossible” that we truly live an extraordinary life.
I’m anxiously awaiting.
To Your Success,
P.S. If you need help achieving your impossible goal and your extraordinary life, reach out to schedule a time to speak with us about how we can help. This is what we do here at Motivation Fitness. It would be our honor to support you.
