Free Lunches Available This Summer

The CCS School Nutrition Department will provide FREE lunches for children in our community this summer.
- Open sites will begin on June 18th and run through August 17th.
- We will be closed July 4th for meal service.
- Every child age 18 and younger is eligible.
- No identification or reservations are required.
Select sites throughout the community also are offering free breakfasts for qualified participants.

This event will take place December 3rd in their Concord office.

For students in grades K-12 in need of breakfast and lunch this summer, text “FOOD” to 877877. A text will reply back asking for your zip code (you can also text the child's zip code). [02/06/17]   Wings To Soar Camp/through Hospice of Cabarrus County:
Summer day camp for children/teens dealing with the death of a loved one. Provides resources to help children and teens through the grieving process.

Some details:
- peer group environment with others who have experienced a loss
- enables them to find strength in shared experience
- helps them cope with grief in a positive, sharing way
- fun camp environment with plenty of laughter and enjoyment
- activities led by trained hospice professionals experienced in working with grieving children and teens.

Camp Dates: Mon June 26th - Thurs June 29th
Location: Kannapolis, NC
