Victory Center Rescue Mission

16 years ago, Mary Ann and her family took me in and helped me learn the knowledge and skills needed for a fruitful life. Although it has been so long, I still think about them as they were more of a family to me than my own.
For everything in the world, the cravings of sinful man, the lust of the eyes and the boasting of what he has and does, comes not from the Father but from the world. 1Jn.2:16
The day was chilly but we had a good turnout and it was a fun ride!
Hello we were wondering if you received giving free food out tomorrow September, 29th thank u
Was wondering if ur all giving out the free food tomorrow September, 29th thank u
Let's show some love for one of our partners and give them a big like or some heart and share please.
You have received new birth into a living hope through My resurrection from the dead. I died on the cross to pay the penalty for the sins of all my followers. If I had remained dead, your faith would be useless and you would forever be spiritually dead still guilty of your sins, it was impossible for My death to be permanent because, I am God!
Just a little something for you to think about and remember when you are down this song has helped me keep faith and keep my head up...enjoy
New days and times for our food pantry...

[06/11/20]   Col.4:6
I will let my conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that I may know how to answer everyone.

[06/10/20]   The Sermon on the Mount
The world loves sin, and hates righteousness, and this was the cause of it hostility to Jesus. All who refuse His infinit love will find Christianity a disturbing element, the light of Christ sweeps away the darkness that covers their sins, and the need of reform is made manifest.
Thus strife is created, and Christ's followers are accused as troublers of the people. But it is fellowship with God that brings them the worlds enmity. They are bearing the reprouch of Christ.

[06/10/20]   Col.4:5
I will be wise in the way I act toward outsiders; making the most of every opportunity.

[06/09/20]   The Sermon on the Mount
"Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake; for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall reveil you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glade: for great is your reward in heaven; for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

[06/09/20]   Col.4:2
I will devote myself to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

[06/09/20]   The Sermon on the Mount
"Blessed are the peace makers." The peace of Christ is born of truth. It is harmany with God. The world is at enmity with the law of God; sinners are at enmity with their maker; and as a result they are at enmity with one another. "Great peace have they which love thy law; and nothing shall offend them." Ps119:165.
Man cannot manufacture peace. Human plans for the purification and the uplifting of individuals or of society will fail of producing peace, because they do not reach the heart.
The only power that can create or perpetuate true peace is the grace of Christ. When this is implemented in the heart it will cast out the evil passions that cause strife and dissension. "Instead of the thorn shall come up the fig tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree:" and life's desert shall rejoice, and blossem as the rose." Is. 55:13; 35:1.

[06/08/20]   Col.3:24
It is the Lord Christ that
I am serving. Therefore I know I will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.

[06/07/20]   Col.3:23
Whatever I do. I will work at it with all my heart, and as working for the Lord, not for man.

[06/07/20]   The Sermon on the Mount
The merciful shall find mercy, and the pure in heart shell see God." Every impure thought defiles the soul, impairs the moral sence, and tents to obliterate the impression of the Holy Spirit. It dims the spiritual vision, so that man cannot behold God. The Lord may and does forgive the repenting sinner; but though forgiven, the soul is marred. All impurity of speech or at thought must be shuned by him who would have clear discernment of the spiritual truth.

[06/06/20]   Col.3:17
Whatever I do, whether in word or deed, I will do it in the name of Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father.

[06/06/20]   The Sermon on the Mount
"Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness." The sence of unworthiness will lead the heart to hunger and thirst for righteousness, and this desire will not be disappointed. Those who make room in their hearts for Jesus will realize His love. All who long to bear the likeness of the character of God shall be satisfied. The Holy Spirit never unassisted the soul who is looking unto Jesus. If the eye is kept fixed on Jesus, the work of the Spirit ceases not until the soul is conformed to His image.

[06/05/20]   Col.3:16
I will allow the word of Christ dwell in me richly as I teach and admonish others with wisdom. And as I song psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. I will do it with gratitude in my heart to God.

Baking for Jesus?

[06/05/20]   The Sermon on the Mount
Those who reveal the meek and lowly spirit of Christ are tenderly regarded by God. They may be looked upon with scorn by the world, but they are of great value in His Sight. Not only the wise, the great, the beneficent, will gain a passport to the heavenly courts; not only the busy workers, full of zeal and restless activity. No; The poor in spirit, who crave the presence of an abiding, Christ the humble in heart, whose highest ambition is to do God's will, these will gain abundance entrance.

[06/04/20]   For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He catches the wise in their own craftiness. 1 Corinthians 3:19

[06/04/20]   Col.3:15
I will let the pease of Christ rule in my heart, since as members of one body I've been called to pease. An to be thankful.

[06/03/20]   The Sermon on the Mount
"Blessed are the meek," the difficulties we have to encounter may be very much lessened by that meekness which hides itself in Christ. If we posses the humility of our master, we shall rise above the slights, the rebuffs, the annoyance, to which we are daily exposed, and they will cease to cast a gloom over the spirit. The highest evidence of nobility in a Christian is self control. He who under abuse or cruelty fails to maintain a calm and trustful spirit robs God of His right to reveal in him His own perfection of character. Lowliness of heart is the strength that gives victory to the followers of Christ; it is the token of their connection with the courts above.

[06/03/20]   Col.3:14
And over all thes virtues I put on love, which binds them all together in purfice unity.

[06/02/20]   The Sermon on the Mount
God's word for the sorrowing is, "I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comfort unto him and to his mourners." I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow." Isa.57:18; Jer.31:13

[06/02/20]   Col.3:13
I will forgive whatever grievances I may have on others. Forgiving as the Lord forgave me.

[06/02/20]   The Sermon on the Mount
The world may pronounce this sorrow as weakness; but it is the strength which binds penitent to the Infinite One with links that cannot be broken. The tears of penitent are only rain drops that precede the sunshine of holiness. This sorrow heralds a joy which will be a living fountain on the soul.

What we see will only last a short time, but what we cannot see will last forever... 2 Corinthians 4:18

[06/01/20]   Col.3:5
I will put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to my earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.

[05/31/20]   Col.3:4
When Christ who is my life, apears, then also I will appear with Him in glory.

[05/30/20]   Col.3:3
I have died, and my life is now hidden with Christ in God.

[05/30/20]   The Sermon on the Mount
We often sorrow because our evil deeds bring unpleasant consequence to ourselves; but this is not repentance. Real sorrow for sin is the result of the work of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit reveals the ingratitude of the heart that had slighted and grieved the Savior, and brings us in contrition to the foot of the cross.

Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. Daniel 12:2

[05/29/20]   Col.3:2
I will set my mind on things above, not on earthly things.

[05/28/20]   The Sermon on the Mount
"Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comferted." Matt.5:4. By the words Christ does not teach that mourning in itself has power to remove the guilt of sin. While we sorrow on account of sin, we are to rejoice in the precious privilege of being children of God.

[05/28/20]   Jesus will keep you strong until the end so that there will be no wrong in you on the day our Lord Jesus Christ comes again...

[05/28/20]   Col.3:1
I have been raised with Christ therefore I set my heart on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.

[05/27/20]   Greetings all Victory center food pantry is in need of egg cartons if you or someone you know may be able to help with this need that would be great. Please bring the cartons to the victory at 505 9th Ave south in clinton. I was informed we have over a hundred dozen of eggs but no cartons to put the loose eggs in and would love to give these out soon.

[05/27/20]   3 “It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered. “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him.

[05/27/20]   Col.2:7
I am rooted and built up in Him; strengthened in the faith as I was taught and overflowing with thankfulness.

[05/27/20]   The Sermon on the Mount
The Lord can do nothing toward the recovery of man until, convinces of his own wickedness, and stripped of all self-sufficiency, he yields him self to the control of God.
Then he can receive the gift that God is waiting to bestow. From the soul that feels his need, nothing is with held. He has unrestricted access to Him in whom all fullness dwells.
