[08/06/18] As everyone knows, we have some new tax laws which have gone into effect with this year. As we are now in the 2nd half of 2018, it is important for you, the taxpayer, to meet with your CPA, and go over what information you have so far so that they can project what you potential income tax liability may be, and to see if you have enough paid in through withholdings and estimates to cover that liability. We have seen several articles in the media, internet and print, that warn people that they may not have enough paid in, and will end up owing come next spring when they file their 1040. Please don’t be one of those people.
[05/28/18] As we are coming to the halfway point of the year, now is the time to start meeting periodically with you CPA to see how your business is doing, and what the changes in the tax laws that are now in effect, will impact you and your personal tax situation.
Go to our website www.fishmanassoc.com to see Neil H Fishman give a presentation on the new tax law. You will find it interesting.

[01/02/18] As 2018 starts, new tax laws go into effect. It is important for everyone to have a CPA or other professional who is aware of these changes and how they can affect their individual tax situation.

[03/16/16] As we are now in mid-March, the push to prepare the personal income tax returns has begun. Alas, there is a MAJOR problem. The investment houses, for the most part have NOT YET sent out their statements to their clients, who are waiting to get them to us. They say they need more time to get the information right so they do not have to send out corrected statements. This places an undue burden on us as tax return preparers, gibing us less time to get the returns done timely. If you have not yet received your brokerage statements, CALL your broker and COMPLAIN!
[02/21/16] As we are coming to the end of February, you should have recewived all of the information needed to prepare your tax return. If you haven't called your CPA yet to make an appointment - now is the time to do so.
If you have been the victim of Identity Theft and have been issued an IP PIN by the IRS, make certain you know where the letter assigning you your 2015 number is.
In fact, you should send it to you CPA IMMEDIATELY.
[01/23/16] As we come to the end of January, it is important to keep track of all the documents you will need to have your tax return prepared are stating to come NOW.
[01/17/16] As we are now in January 2016, it is time to start gathering your information to have your tax return prepared. Make sure you use someone who is competent, is up to date with the tax laws and regulations, and will do right by you.
[12/03/15] As we approach the end of the year, now is the time to be getting together with your CPA to review your potential tax situation for 2015 and see if there is anything that needs to be done before the end of the year. This is both for individuals as well as businessses.
[06/06/15] Even though April 15 has come and gone, now that we are almost halfway through 2015, it is getting close to the time for business owners to start planning and reviewing how the year has gone and see where they stand from a tax perspective.
[02/10/15] Why use a CPA? Because our software properly prepares and submits all state tax return without any issues.
