Amplify Austin

Today is the last day of Amplify Austin and I'm here to throw my support behind CASA of Travis County. Right now they are far behind on reaching their $40,000 #AmplifyATX goal to help 26 children for a year. Let's help them reach their goal!

If you haven't heard of CASA, or have heard the name but don't know what it's all about, here it is. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Travis County educates and empowers community volunteers who ensure each child's needs remain a priority in an over-burdened child welfare system. When the state steps in to protect a child's safety because the people responsible for protecting them have not, a judge appoints a trained CASA volunteer to make independent and informed recommendations and help the judge decide what's best for the child.

I'm entering my third month as a CASA volunteer and it is the most rewarding thing I've ever been a part of.
