I’ve known these guys for at least 10 years. At one point in time we used to do business together. There hasn’t been a day over the last 10 years where I haven’t tried to soak up all the knowledge I can consume from T. A. E. These days, I’m a 40-year-old husband and father of two boys. I live in Dallas and I’m a nationwide lumber broker. Constantly in the truck, on an airplane, or sitting behind a desk. I am an ex college basketball player. Although though my mentality may be the same, my body is not. Most of my time is spent in pain. Because of that, no matter where I’m going up or down I-35, I ALWAYS stop to see Coach Pat so he can “work on me.” I leave there feeling revived. And most the time I feel like I’m walking clouds. Pain free. And happy. I can’t do life without them.

EVOLVE | Health & Performance is devoted to educating and fueling a new age of strength and conditioning for coaches and athletes - performance specialists and generalists alike. We generate and implement researched-backed fitness/performance information and data-based individual programming. It’s our belief that Health and Performance are one. As such, we have a top-down approach using methods from Sports Performance, Performance Therapy, and Biochemical Monitoring to create a Performance-Health paradigm for each of our athletes.

Jim Snider is in his second stint at Wisconsin, this time working with the UW hockey programs. He serves as an associate director for the department’s strength and conditioning program and as the director of its Kohl Center operations.

He has spent the past 11 years working with the men’s and women’s hockey programs and has developed numerous NHL players and Olympians. He continues to train many of those same people in the offseason.
