GENaustin's new GirlConnect Program, funded by Dell, puts technology in the hands of girls to help them express themselves in a positive, thoughtful way. Our first ever GirlConnect session took place last week. A group of 4th and 5th grade girls used Dell technology to learn about the pervasiveness of Photoshop first hand, and took action to promote images of real beauty in the media. They created virtual magazine pages and wrote articles about what real beauty is and what it means to them.

Register your daughter now for our March 24th GirlConnect Workshop, "Let's Talk About Real Beauty" where girls grades 4th-6th can talk about beauty in the media, and then create a personal e-zine with their own messages about REAL BEAUTY!
