Dear valued members,

We are patiently awaiting for the unveiling of phase two of reopen Texas. At this time we are diligently preparing for the reopening of our facility. We want to ensure that each and every member's safety is at the forefront of all decisions we make. We plan to make an announcement giving more details as things become more clear barring any new information by governor Abbott no later than May 18th.

What is Stabilization training and why is it important?
Think of the foundation when you are building a house. You need to make sure it’s a sturdy and stable foundation; so problems don't arise down the road with alignment and function.
How does this apply to human movement ?
This type of training helps stabilize the muscles in the trunk and core, so the spine, pelvis and shoulders are in alignment and can perform the functional movement with proficiency and be properly conditioned. All this promotes proper postural alignment for any and all!

Who suffers from low back pain? On top of stretching , Here are some core strengthening exercises to do if you suffer from low back pain.
Deadbug hold 20-45 seconds
Active deadbug 8-12 each leg
Plank 20-45 seconds
Side planks 20-45 seconds
Cat cow lifts ( if you can’t lift that is fine) 10-15
Core rotation 10-15 each
Repeat 3-5 rounds

How many suffer from low back pain ? 🙋🏻‍♀️ I actually have severe scoliosis and (had two disc herniations) I’ve rehabbed my back to move again. Stretching is CRUCIAL JUST AS CRUCIAL AS THESE CORE STRENGTHENING Exercises to help reduce Low back pain .

3-5 rounds
Dead bug hold 30-45 seconds back stays on Ground
Active dead bug 10-12 reps each leg
Side plank 30-45 seconds
Plank 30-45 seconds ( tuck your hips)
Cat cows lifts 12-15 reps
If you can’t lift that’s fine
Banded rotation (hands are just hooks pull with core) 12-15 each side

Let’s talk Cardio vs Resistance Training!
Cardiorespiratory exercise is good for overall general health. We know that doing cardio can help lower the risk of cardiovascular disease, and can help in the process of weight loss.
Resistance training has some solid benefits of its own. It can lower your resting heart rate, improve bone density, and increase muscle mass which in turn can increase your metabolism.

When I first started working out, I thought the fastest road to my “dream body” and better health, was to run. I was wrong. There’s nothing inherently wrong with running. But if we don’t understand the signals these activities send to our bodies, we may be hindering our own progress. I think a LOT of women have bought into the lie that lifting will make you look “bulky”. 🙄🙄 Well, that’s a lie. But that’s worthy of a whole other post.
So if we know resistance training adds muscle mass (in the right conditions- I’ll have another post on how that works), and muscle mass increases our metabolism, then how can cardio affect that process?
Well, muscle mass requires more energy to sustain. Meaning, if you add 5 pounds of muscle to your body, the amount of calories you would need to eat to keep that muscle will go up. When you do cardio, you’re sending a signal to your body to be more efficient with calories, because you’re burning more. So naturally, one of the first things to go would be muscle mass, because it’s more expensive. Now, this doesn’t mean you can’t do ANY cardio. This just means your programming should align with your specific goal.
For example: If my current goal is to GAIN muscle mass, I’m probably going to cut out any extra cardio that I can during this phase, in order to send the STRONGEST anabolic (muscle building) signal possible.
On the other side, if my main goal is fat loss, then I might add a little more cardio WITH my resistance training, to burn some extra fat with the knowledge that the resistance training will help me keep some muscle mass.

Healthy brownies 🤤🤤🤤
Preheat oven to 350
Spray your baking pan with nonstick spray

Ingredients :
1/2 cup apple sauce
1/2 cup honey
1stp vanilla extract
2 whole eggs
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1/4 tsp salt
1 handful of dark chocolates

Mix wet ingredients first then in serlaye bowl mix dry ingredients throughly . Combine and bake for 20-25 min :)

A back and bicep workout with resistance bands and some light dumbbells.
Prone lat pulls 3x12
High cable row 3x15
Close grip pull down 3x12
Dumbbell pullover 3x20
Banded lat pull down 3x10 each
Bent over banded rows 3x15
Dumbbell bicep curls 4x12 each 20#
Burnout w 12# db 4 x til failure
