Jennifer Koppenhaver is a problem-solver dedicated to helping real estate clients sell, buy or rent. A resident (and enthusiast) of Northern Virginia since 2004, she is particularly familiar with the unique qualities of the region as well as its fast-paced development.
Her patience and steadiness are a calming presence in the sometimes-stressful undertaking to buy or sell a home and move. Jennifer excels at guiding clients through transactions from start to finish. With twelve years' experience in the home improvement industry as a small business owner and manager, Jennifer is able to rely on her deeper knowledge of many aspects of the workings of a home in order to advise her clients. Her many years as an entrepreneur have resulted in intense drive and boundless capacity to achieve her clients’ goals. In addition, Jennifer has an ample understanding of the government workforce and life for federal employees. She has over 11 years' experience in Federal service between time worked at the Transportation Security Administration and the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian. Fluent in Spanish and well traveled in Latin America, Jennifer has the tools to assist clients from varied backgrounds. She earned an Honors Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Geography and Latin American Studies from the University of Delaware in 2004, in additional to completing one year of graduate study at the Universidad Francisco Marroquin in Guatemala City, Guatemala. She is originally from southern Delaware and it’s still one of her all-time favorite places to visit. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with friends and traveling. She is, most importantly, mother to two fast-growing boys.

I am very excited that today another donation was made to New Story Charity in honor of my clients. I donate a portion of every buy/sell commission to this innovative organization that builds homes and communities in Haiti, El Salvador, and Mexico using local labor and materials for a cost of approximately $4000 per home! Please consider this charity for your end-of-year charitable giving!

There are many reasons that New Story Charity is my favorite... innovation is just another way this organization is helping improve lives all over the world. They are working with a tech company to be able to produce a 3D print home in less than 24 hours for just $4000 each! A safe, clean shelter goes a long way in helping impoverished families improve their health and future. I donate a portion of earnings from every home I help clients buy or sell to New Story Charity. I love knowing that helping clients with their housing in Virginia is going to also help build a home for another family in El Salvador.
Please consider New Story Charity as a recipient for your charitable donations this year.
An innovation 1 year in the making, we’re thrilled to unveil the first ever permitted 3D printed home. In partnership with our friends ICON, this printer was created specifically for the world’s poorest. Impacting the world requires bold risks and this is the first of many.
This is an interesting take on home remodeling. Working in the housing field and in the home improvement field, I appreciate the need to keep a home competitive with surrounding properties and also what buyers are looking for in a home. In addition, homeowners should make a home for themselves in which they feel comfortable.
But I also see many perfectly good elements of a home ripped out and replaced and I think it’s important for a homeowner to reflect on what is motivating their desire to complete a remodel.

The steadily improving U.S economy, sustained job growth, and rising confidence that now is a good time to buy a home should pave the way for an increase in existing-home sales in 2018, but continued supply shortages, and passage of a tax bill that disincentives homeownership, threaten to handcuff what should be stronger activity. That is according to a residential housing and economic forecast session here at the 2017 REALTORS® Conference & Expo. http://bit.ly/2yqRvrH
