LEF - Loudoun County Public Schools Backpack Coalition Program

LEF - Loudoun County Public Schools Backpack Coalition Program

Our program provides family-style meals to food-insecure students and their families to ensure they have enough to eat on the weekends.

This is the OFFICIAL FB page for the LEF - Loudoun County Public Schools Backpack Coalition Program. The LEF - LCPS Backpack Coalition Program is a District approved supplemental program to an existing school's program when funding/or food is not available. Under the guidance of the Office of Outreach, the LEF- LCPS Backpack Coalition Program will also provide start-up support for any school that is in need.

Mission: Loudoun County Public Schools began a new program called the LEF - LCPS Backpack Coalition in support of the existing school programs. Under the guidance of the Office of Outreach, LEF - LCPS is collaborating with 100WomenStrong, Loudoun Education Foundation, Loudoun Interfaith Relief, Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, and our partner, Palmercare Chiropractic to ensure no child goes hungry. The LEF - LCPS Backpack Coalition's goal is to ensure 100 percent of the families that need our support receive food the weekends and extended breaks, allowing children to focus on their studies instead of their growling bellies!

Wow! We are so humbled and thankful for all those who joined us for Saturday’s Hunger Project in partnership with Generosity::Feeds! We had 180 volunteers who brought amazing energy, big smiles, and helping hands to pack 12,000 meals in well under two hours! At the end of our packing party, the meals were distributed to almost 40 local schools who have food impoverished children in need. What an incredibly empowering morning!

Special shout outs to KSJ & Associates, Inc, Oakton Family Dentistry, Citizant, Data Works, Chartis Federal, Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy, Federal Account and Reporting, The Pediatric Group, Air Force Aid Society, Blue Ridge Partners, and Agile3Tech Solutions for spending your mornings with us!
