Broadlands Community Church

BCC is a church that seeks to find God's insights into the challenges that we face today. You will find a friendly group of people who believe that Christianity holds the insights to these challenges.

BCC has a vision of "Easy - Easy" in regards to Community outreach. It is easy to ask/invite and its easy to go. Our Annual Events consist of the following: Vacation Bible School Easter Egg Hunt Candlelight Christmas Eve Service

Mission: We are a Christ-centered church built on the Biblical principles of Salvation, Freedom, and the Ministry of the Holy Spirit, where home groups are an integral part of our Christian community. Our vision is to participate in Christ's redeeming work by bringing people to salvation in Jesus Christ and then leading them into a growing relationship with Him. (Acts 26:16-19)

Those who tremble at HIS Word; those to whom the Word means something. This is important because the people who tremble at God’s Word are the people who God talks to. When He speaks to us, we can see as God sees. When we take a step into that light the light moves forward and we see more light than before. Therefore, each step in the light gives us more unfolding light.

Our view of God can be way to casual. The Bible clearly
shows God unapproachable hating all evil. God being a
Jealous God is interesting. Jealously has to do with our
affections. God is not going to share our affections with
anyone else! God hates a divided heart.

[11/03/19]   Be encouraged! Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

God’s Design has been distorted by sin. Through Christ and the church, God moves to restore HIS Design. This is an OT account that gives us a picture how God restores HIS Design, “I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the house of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me.”

[10/27/19]   The church is God’s Design! Gather together and worship. 1 Peter 2:9 (ESV) But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

100% chance of rain tomorrow....so we are moving indoors. Bring something to share for a potluck and we will convert the church to a cornhole arena!

Postponed. Weather today just does not support. Will try again on October 27th!

I will make it official tomorrow, but as for now, plan for the tourney to be at the church after church. We will do it as a potluck. Probably start tossing at right about noon to give people time to get food.

Postponed. Weather today just does not support. Will try again on October 27th!

To understand anything God is revealing we need to have a relationship with HIM and that comes through Jesus Christ. To restore God’s Complete design, HE sent Jesus! His design includes perfectly complimentary genders, intentionally different (even opposite) from each other! John 3:16 (ESV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Postponed. Weather today just does not support. Will try again on October 27th!

As Christians, it is important to understand God’s Design and behave according to HIS Design. As Christians, operating within God’s Design, we become avenues of the Creator God in which nothing is impossible! God created marriage between a man and a woman, foreshadowing the relationship between Christ and the Church!

Understanding and cooperating with God's design. And then, communicating it to a world that needs His Love, with love.

[09/29/19]   And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being “transformed” into the same “image” from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18 (ESV) As Christians we are being transformed into “Christ’s image” so that we will “behave” according to God’s intended design.

Thanks Mitch for stepping in!

Tomorrow is the last day to donate! Thanks for all that has been brought in!

Hey Church! We will be collecting items for the Mission Team to take to the Orphanage in a suitcase at the back of the church: Items needed: lunch boxes, tooth paste and brushes for kids, underwear for 3T up to size 7-8, kids black socks, vitamin E hair food, notebooks and erasers, cool aid, and....well.... beef jerky! :)

Romans 8:32 (NIV) "He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?" - Our identity should reflect His love.... Thanks for the great message Greg!

New series starts on September 29th!!!

Reminder that we are collecting items for the orphanage.

[09/08/19]   Trust Jesus because HE holds everything together! Colossians 1:17 (ESV). (Jesus) is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

The Holy Spirit indwells and transforms, and it is the Holy Spirit that will continues what Jesus started. Based on Jesus’ promise, the period in between Jesus’ departure and HIS return the disciples will be empowered by the Holy Spirit to be HIS witnesses. This is Jesus’ spiritual presence continuing HIS earthly ministry while HE is in heaven.

[09/04/19]   Isaiah 52:7-8 New International Version
7 How beautiful on the mountains
are the feet of those who bring good news,
who proclaim peace,
who bring good tidings,
who proclaim salvation,
who say to Zion,
“Your God reigns!”
8 Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices;
together they shout for joy.
When the Lord returns to Zion,
they will see it with their own eyes.

[09/01/19]   The Holy Spirit indwells and transforms, and it is the Holy Spirit that will continues what Jesus started. Acts 1:8 (ESV) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

The Scriptures are paramount to every Christian.
The Bible is the very words of God. With the Bible
we have God’s mind. Each Christian believer knows
the Bible is alive and powerful.

[08/25/19]   Do you have questions; are you confused? Read the Bible and ask God to speak to you! 2Timothy 3:16 (ESV) All Scripture is breathed out by God!

[08/24/19]   Luke: The Road to Emmaus. The Bible is the very breathed out word of God. Like anything we can read it and intellectually evaluate it. However, with the risen Christ, the Bible comes alive.

Join us on August 25th starting at 9 am for a pancake breakfast fellowship and fundraiser. Raising money for the next Mission Trip to our sponsored orphanage in Haiti!

The resurrection of Christ changed everything. Just as meeting the resurrected Christ changes everyone. Without the resurrection, our faith would be foolish. But instead, with the resurrection in focus, we can and should have an eternal view.

[08/11/19]   The Resurrection (Luke 24:1-3)

On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.

[08/04/19]   The “crucifixion” wasn’t the end because Jesus said to the thief on the cross beside HIM, “Luke 23:43 (ESV) Truly, I say to you, “TODAY” you will be with me in paradise.”

Jesus has told us everything before hand. Therefore, as we see things come to pass, do not be distressed because we know it means that Jesus is soon to return!

To understand what Jesus said, for that matter the Bible as a whole, you must know who Jesus is. The Pharisees and Sadducees did not understand who Jesus and sought to undermine His authority and teaching. Thinking about Jesus and wondering who He is....we welcome you to stop by.

Jesus triumphantly enters Jerusalem, but many of His followers mis-understand and believe that the Kingdom will start right then. So He tells them the parable of the minas to tell them that He must leave to be crowned and that He will leave them with gifts to do great works. For while salvation is a free gift, He has left us here with a mission and works that He prepared in advance for us to do.

How badly do we want to see and hear Jesus? Have the things of this world blinded us to Him. Jesus responds to those who would climb a tree, just to have a chance to catch a glimpse of Him.

[07/07/19]   Cry out to Jesus no matter what anyone says! Luke 18:35–42. The blind beggar CRIED OUT, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” When he was told to be quite, he CRIED OUT ALL THE MORE, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Happy Independence Day! God bless the USA!

All things begin and end with Jesus! Jesus did not sin, but He died for our sin. He was a substitute for us on the cross. Jesus paid the penalty for our sin so that we do not have to pay the penalty ourselves. Jesus knew HE would go to Jerusalem die for our sins, be resurrected, and be seated at the right Hand of God!

[06/30/19]   Exactly as God planned! After Jesus’ resurrection, HE is talking with two men explaining to them that all that had happened was foretold in the Scriptures. Luke 24:27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning HIMSELF!

It is never about our possessions, it is about our heart and where we put the Lord. The Rich Ruler believed he was following the Law and that through his actions he could be justified before God. Jesus showed him that his possessions were more important to him than God. Is He first in your heart?

[06/23/19]   The Law was not to measure our achievements, but rather to reveal our sin and that we need a Savior

The parable of the Pharisee and tax collector is a pivotal story in the Bible, tying the Old Testament Law to New Testament Grace. We cannot earn our way into Heaven. We get there by God's mercy.

Pray without ceasing. Faith is hearing God and acting. Those with Mustard Seed faith, any faith whatsoever, are the ones who don’t quit; who trust to the very end; who totally rely on God! God will respond, right on time!

Luke:When - When the Pharisees asked Jesus when the Kingdom of Heaven would start, they could not know how different it was to be then they expected. It had arrived, in Spirit.

[06/02/19]   One Day Jesus will return. Luke 17:24 (ESV) For as the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be in his day.

Remembering those who have paid the full measure for the freedoms that we have. Have a blessed Memorial Day.
