Hi there, we are new to town and I’m interested in the mops program. How do I find more info or sign up? Thank you 🙏🏻
Hello, Crossroads United Methodist Church community. My son ran in the 5K yesterday and lost his wallet along the way. Did anyone happen to find a wallet? Thank you!
Are anyone’s kids gonna wear Halloween costumes to service this morning?
Hello my name is Francis Baale am part of the humble family Uganda and i went to humble united Methodist school in mukono, Uganda.
Request: I get the daily text message but I’d like to be added to the Lent morning and evening message as well. Couldn’t figure out how to do that via the GOTGO app. Can somebody add me? Thanks to God

I was told that you're starting to have Saturday evening services? Is this true? If so, what time does it start?

Our desire is that everyone - whether they enter our doors or not - would discover the sacredness of their own story, celebrate their spirituality, and fully enjoy an everyday life with God.

God is everywhere, in everything, and with you every day. Crossroads is a community that intentionally celebrates and extends God’s unlimited welcome and unconditional love to people both inside and outside the walls of a church building. Our desire is that everyone - whether they enter our doors or not - would discover the sacredness of their own story, celebrate their spirituality, and fully enjoy an everyday life with God. We are equally passionate about and committed to two forms that help us pursue our vision: one is the ministries centered here at Crossroads Drive, and the other we call “Imagine”. Through Imagine we meet in restaurants, bars, coffee shops, homes, yoga studios and in nature with people who have no interest in coming to a church building. We call this a “Both/And” church and through these two forms we are empowered to offer God’s radical grace and love in ways that enable people both inside and outside the walls to change the world one person, one family, and one community at a time.

Proverbs 16:16 How much better to get wisdom than gold, and good judgment than silver!

Morning Prayer: God, often I pray for things to just be easier. Either through conscious requests or subconscious actions, I express a longing for life to mirror my personal visions, expectations, and dreams. I ask for what I know leads to security and power in this world. But the life of freedom and wholeness You invite goes so far beyond what gold and silver can buy. That fulfillment comes from undergoing struggle, discernment, and letting go as I seek to serve others and grow in wisdom. Thank you, God, for calling and inspiring me and others to live with true joy!

Morning Focus: Today, I broaden my perspective and avoid looking for the easy route. I let go and trust in God as I seek deeper wisdom and good judgment.

Proverbs 3:9 Glorify God with all your wealth, honoring God with your very best, with every increase that comes to you.

Morning Prayer: God, as I read this morning’s scripture I am struck by a few things. One is that my wealth is so much more than my finances. If I were to judge by my bank account I would never consider myself wealthy. But when I stop to reflect on what I have in terms of friends and family, a home, a car, access to clean water, food and health care, all of which allow me to have a job to support myself then, yes, I am wealthy beyond my imagining. My second thought is how am I sharing all of this with others. Is my home open to receive others – how often do I share a meal or offer transportation to someone in need? I remember that what I do to the least of these I am doing for You, honoring You with my best efforts. My final thought is really a nudge back toward the financial aspect of wealth. Am I examining my financial resources and upping my giving to You? If I am the recipient of extra income, whether an annual increase in wages or a bonus, am I remembering to reflect that in my giving to You? Help me to be mindful of all aspects of my wealth and honor You with what I do with everything I have. May it be so.

Morning Focus: Today I will focus on how I can share from the abundance of what I have with those who have less.

Proverbs 11:28 Keep trusting in your riches and down you’ll go! But the lovers of God rise up like flowers in the spring.

Morning Prayer: God, I like safety and security. It is easy for me to get so caught up in trying to provide those things for myself and my family that I lose touch with Your constant loving presence. I know that I can’t truly make my world safe and secure but it is hard to let go of the idea that this is what I’m supposed to do. I want to keep my heart and my spirit so focused on You that I become as resilient as the beautiful plants that are springing up from the earth right now. They withstand the bitter cold, the frost, and the harshest storms. When the season has passed they rise up from the earth in all their springtime glory. They are the living embodiment of resilience. My prayer is that my faith may grow deeper, and I may be so anchored in Your love that I can face the storms of life and rise up again when they pass as one who reflects Your glory. May it be so.

Morning Focus: May my life reflect Your glorious image as the springtime flowers reflect the glory of creation.

Psalm 62:10 The wealth of the world is nothing to God. So if your wealth increases, don’t be boastful or put your trust in your money.

Morning Prayer: God, today’s scripture sets almost everything I have been taught on its head. It seems like wealth is everything to the world and yet this scripture says it means nothing to You. What a freeing way to see life. Instead of making money or wealth my goal, I begin to see how I can use what resources I have to make a better world my goal. For sure that is easier said than done. So I am asking that You help me to change my goal. First, help me to be thankful for what I have, and then be mindful of how I am using what I have been given to bring greater hope into the world. I have to confess that money does mean a great deal to me. And in my confession, I pray that its material value lessens and the value of its potential to change me and the world grows stronger. May I learn to have a grateful and generous heart, and from that place learn how to trust that there is enough. May it be so.

Morning Focus: Throughout the day be grateful for what you have and at the same time be mindful of any thoughts or feelings you have about money. How many of your thoughts are about abundance? How many are about scarcity? Notice what is being revealed in your answers?

Don’t forget to turn your clocks ahead one hour before you go to bed tonight!

Proverbs 15:16 It’s much better to live simply, surrounded in holy awe and worship of God than to have great wealth with a home full of trouble.

Morning Prayer: God, I know that living simply is a better way to live and yet I find knowing and doing two different things. I know that I am not to define my life by what I have or judge myself by what the neighbors have and I don’t have. And yet everywhere I turn there seems to be something luring me to have more and not less. I get how a home full of stuff leads to more trouble - more anxiety, more work, more stress. So help me to set an intention to live more simply. Before purchasing more of anything help me to remember to ask, “Do I really need this?” If the answer is no, then help me to be strong enough to walk away so that I can find more joy by living more simply. May it be so.

Morning Focus: Set an intention to live more simply today. Practice saying no to things you don’t really need.

Hebrews 13:16 Don’t forget to help others and to share your possessions with them. This too is like offering a sacrifice that pleases God.

Morning Prayer: God, I confess that sometimes I confuse what I want with what I need. In truth, I have everything I need – food, clothing, a safe home, clean water, access to health care, a job. In truth I have more than I need. I have more than enough to share what I have with others who may not have everything they need to survive, those on the margins who struggle with basic necessities. My prayer is that I am able to let go of some of what I have, to share what I have, excess or not, with those who have less. May it be so.

Morning Focus: Today I will be mindful of those who have less than I. I will examine my heart and share whatever I can.

Luke 12:15 Then Jesus said, “Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.”

Morning Prayer: God, help me to be grateful for what I have, and know that “more” is not a measure of success. Help us to see that we will have exactly what we need to be of the most service here in this world. That our cup runneth over regardless of what others have or do not have. It seems that when greed is present, it means that I am looking for fulfillment in something other than You and that will never fill the emptiness in my soul. Help us all to see that the subtleness of greed leads us away from the one true God by the worship of idols. For anything that is worshipped other than God is an empty promise and an illusion that will never satisfy and will leave us always needing more. I pray that our eyes are opened to the abundance and surety of Your love and provision for us all. May it be so.

Morning Focus: I begin my day knowing that I have everything I need to be a blessing and a force for good in this world.

Ecclesiastes 6:9 Enjoy what you have, rather than desiring what you don’t have. Just dreaming about nice things is meaningless—like chasing the wind.

Morning Prayer: Thank you God for all that I have. For this moment, I set aside my dreams for more, and release my desires to you. Guide me, as I recenter my thoughts and my heart to see life as it is with gratitude. Thank you for the beauty that surrounds me, seen in the mystery of nature, in caring relationships, in massive displays of awe, and in seemingly insignificant instances of delight. May each of these moments compel me to turn towards You and work with love to create more beauty. Thank you for the pain that surrounds me, seen in the unpredictability of nature, in difficult relationships, in massive displays of global heartache, and in seemingly insignificant instances of struggle. May each of these moments compel me to turn towards You and work with wisdom to create less pain. I release this day to Your loving guidance and presence. May it be so.

Morning Focus: Rather than chasing the wind, today, I release my desires to it. I stand firm in God’s love, simply enjoying the breeze.

II Corinthians 4:18 We look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

Morning Prayer: God, this is a scripture that is all about faith - the hope for that which we cannot see but dearly hope for and believe without the evidence of our eyes. Unfortunately, all too often I want proof – visible, measurable proof before I believe. How much richer would my life be if I could only release the need for visible proof in things that I cannot see, hold or touch? Yet I only have to remember You and Your unfathomable love for me, to remember how You have seen me through the difficult times through the words and actions of others who held me, or walked with me. You are present in the most joyous of times and in the most challenging of times. In joy and in challenge I sometimes lose sight of that, because I am looking with my eyes, not my heart. Let me always know You in my heart and in my soul. May it be so.

Morning Focus: Today I will release the need to see and touch before I believe, remembering that God is with me always.

I Timothy 6:7-8 For we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content.

Morning Prayer: God, I am grateful that You have supplied my needs for this day. Help me to stay centered in the now, and not worry so much about my future. Help me to be mindful of the many people around the world who do not have enough for today. Give me open eyes to see the many ways in which I can share what I have, and live responsibly in ways that conserve the earth’s resources so that all people may share in the bounty of creation. May it be so.

Morning Focus: I am grateful for this day and all that it brings.

Luke 9:25 What will you gain, if you own the whole world but destroy yourself or waste your life?

Morning Prayer: God, as I reflect on the words of today’s scripture I can’t help but pause and ask, what am I trying to gain? Success, material possessions, or a larger bank account? I don’t think there is anything inherently wrong with success, possessions, or money. Yet the scripture leads me to ask, is that my pursuit in life? And then when I look at the condition the world is in I realize how temporal and fragile all of it is. So today I ask that You help me to change my pursuit. Help me to invest in the well being of my mind, body, and soul. Help me to go inward and find peace, a peace that the world cannot give to me, a peace that only comes from gaining a renewed trust in Your unwavering hope for me and the world. May it be so.

Morning Focus: Today, try to let go of anxiety and fear by pausing to take a breath and be grateful for what you have instead of being anxious about what you don’t have.

Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

Morning Prayer: It is my desire, God, to be a peacemaker but it’s not always easy as I find myself at times surrounded by those who seemingly have no desire for peace. Their only desire is to challenge and be right. I admit at times that is even true of me and yet I know that does nothing to foster a feeling or atmosphere of reconciliation and peace. Help me, God, to let go of my need to be right. Help me to resist reacting to those who seek to confront. Help me to offer grace toward others, rather than seeking grace for myself. Help me to extend love toward others, rather than seeking to be loved. I know, God, as You’ve shown me time and time again, that I will reap what I sow. So, help me, God, to lead with a peace-filled heart so that I may be a peacemaker amongst all Your children, not just the ones that look and talk like me. May it always be so.

Morning Focus: I awaken ready to make peace among other people and be helpful and friendly.

Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

Morning Prayer: God, as I read this scripture I think about what it means to be pure of heart. I wish I could say that my every thought or every word that I utter is positive and affirming, never critical or negative but that is simply not true. I think to be pure in heart means to be aligned or in sync with You. Eugene Peterson puts it like this: You’re blessed when you get your inside world—your mind and heart—put right. Then you can see God in the outside world.” God, that is what I want - to see and know You in my world. So my prayer is to do my best to align my heart with You. That my thoughts and my words are pleasing to You and others can see You through me. May it be so.

Morning Focus: Today I will search my heart and hold my tongue to ensure that my thoughts and words are aligned with God.

Matthew 5:7 Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

Morning Prayer: God, as I read this scripture, I think of the saying “do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. But then I remember when You told us to love one another as I have loved you. This more fully helps me to understand that Your limitless unconditional love is what I should be giving. Help me to treat others with Your love and know that though I may fear or feel slighted, that there is enough and we are all enough in Your eyes. Help me to be merciful with others as You have always been with me. May it be so.

Morning Focus: I will go forth on this day excited for the possibilities that being a merciful loving person in the way of Jesus will bring me.
