The Teapublicans love gods of all kinds, especially job “gods” or as they put it " job creators". All gods are man-made and used by those in power to manipulate the masses. Free yourself from the shackles of legends and myths. Believe in the power of you and your fellow humans. Want to balance the federal and state budgets? Here is $100 billion in low hanging fruit: tax the church? Those mega churches and the Catholics have tons of untaxed property and income. They have tax advantages for which I will never qualify. Not very democratic.

Middle income class Americans (now the poor), should stand up against the GOP's support of the the top 1%. Democracy works, unbridled capitalism is the problem. It is a system that gives the rich even more economic power, so they can stay in power. The Supreme court's recent ruling that money is speech, further tilts the power in favor of the rich. Remember that this Presidential election will also determine the future make up of the Supreme Court. We middle class folks can't afford the supreme court as it stands now. Corporations are not people. Support those occupying Wall Street and the other city squares.

This is the real "Pledge". As a forward looking person, it is rare that I advocate to go back to something from the the 1950s. This is the one. Listen to history before Christianity inflicted its "majority rules" indoctrination on the rest of us. Why is it there now? It continues to send a message about non-believers - we are lacking as citizens. We should be looked on with scorn, because we will not lie if we were to truly pledge allegiance to this government endorsed sanctioning of religion. We must remove these descrimatory words from our national lexicon.
Prior to 1954 the words "under God" were not in the pledge of allegiance. They were added under pressure from Christian leaders in a time of heightened natio...
Palestine statehood would give that new country a more balanced negotiating position with Israel. Both countries feel threatened by each other. I proudly live without god. God should not be actively promoted by the government at government sponsored events. Think about a Christian student playing on a majority Muslim team. Would you have problems if Muslim prayers were the norm? Of course you would, as would I. So the answer is to keep all religious activity private at public events or have separate student sponsored public events focused on prayer before the game. Perhaps they could have a pre-game christian prayer meeting in the auditorium with the team. If the coaches or school administration want to attend, they should, but as private citizens not public officials. I work for the goverment and keep my atheist and political activism separate from my duties. It can be done. Folks at the office know who I am and what I do on my off hours. This separation provides the religious freedom to believe what we want without undue pressure from the majority or the government. Establishment of religion is prohibited by the government a...

Subject: The Nerve
Dear Mr. Norquist:
You and your unelected organization have the nerve to hold the GOP hostage in their negotiations to avert a US financial crisis by not raising the debt ceiling. Somehow you are holding them responsible for adding any revenue generation for the US government to recoup expenditures for the recent wars and other expenses that were not offset by the Bush tax cuts and extensions. This is highly irresponsible and unpatriotic. Cutting federal budgets alone will not reduce the nation’s debt. I realize that you have painted yourself into a corner, but please put our country’s solvency ahead of your hardened line in the sand and what I can only see as an ego driven quest that has become irrational in the face of calamity.

In the absence of God, who is in charge? Coming at this question from outside Pavone's catholic religion, the question would be: Which god would be in charge? The Christian god? Which sect? Mormon's version? Catholic's? The secular genius of our constitution puts no god in charge, so that all religions and this those with no religion can equally prosper.
washingtonpost.com The fundamental problem is this: In the absence of God, who is in charge? If God does not have absolute authority and dominion over human life and human rights, then who does? The government?
Come on, let's get this moving. The GOP needs to revolt against Grover Norquest's strangle hold on their party, and compromise to save the country from economic collapse. The Tea party was an interesting experiment, but don't let their extreme religious like doctrine get in the way of compromise.
washingtonpost.com Neither Republicans nor President Obama are seen as willing to compromise, though the GOP fares worse.

Who has taken the hits durning the great recession? Who do Republicans want even more wealth to be funneled? Not you or me. Unless you are a millionaire or major stockholder in the industrial war machine. Call Congress today.
