GWUOHS Faculty Spotlight:
Dan Kelly joined us as a Social Studies teacher this year. Although this is his first year with GWUOHS, he has been in online education for 4 years. When asked what he likes about GWUOHS, he said , "I like how GWUOHS provides students with the best of both worlds in online education. Students have the ability to advance at their own pace to differentiate their own learning, while, they also have the opportunity to have their learning enriched by the teacher according the class schedule." We are excited to have Mr. Kelly on our team!
Do you love photography? If so, consider joining the GWUOHS Photography Club. This is a great place to share pictures and learn new techniques for taking as well as editing pictures. Students present their pictures and have a chance to share their techniques with their fellow students. Each semester we have a photo contest as well. Contact Mrs. Zieman at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.

GWUOHS Faculty Spotlight:
Alison Mistretta is the Head of School for GWUOHS. This will be her second year at our school, but she has been involved in online education for 10 years. When asked about GWUOHS, she said, “There are so many things to love about this school! It is not often that you get to work with such extremely driven and dedicated students, parents, and staff. I love being able to witness all of the amazing accomplishments of our students – as an educator, there is nothing better than seeing a child reach their goals and dreams, and our GWUOHS students are doing that every single day. I also couldn’t be more fortunate to have the opportunity to work with such supportive parents – it is always so incredible to me how the GWUOHS parents will do whatever they can to make this school bigger and better. And, I have never worked with such talented and caring teachers, advisors, and college-counselors – they are always willing to go above and beyond to help our students succeed.”
The 2017-2018 GWUOHS school year starts on Tuesday September 5th. We are excited to kick off the year with an All-School Assembly at 2pm EDT on Tuesday and classes will begin on Wednesday September 6th. All of the teachers and staff at GWUOHS can’t wait to start the year and meet all of our new students!
We have created a closed Facebook group for GWUOHS Parents. This group will allow parents a place to ask questions of one another and share resources. If you are a past or present GWUOHS parent, please join this group:
