Mt. Hope Baptist Church

184 years of praising God through song, service and sustenance!

Hello & Welcome! Mt. Hope is a family of people who have come together to learn more about God and His love for us. We invite you to join us as we strive to make Him the center of our lives. We offer friendship, a helping hand, and a place to call home. Come see what the Lord is doing in our community, our church family, and our lives. We look forward to meeting you! John Zoller, Pastor

"...Just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his."
Rom. 6:4-5

[04/21/19]   But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.”
Matt. 28:5-6

He is risen! Come celebrate with us!

Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

Decorating the cross - an Easter tradition at Mt. Hope that has survived for decades long and involves all ages. It was lots of fun working together!

He is risen!
"Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know— this Jesus, delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men. God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it." -Acts 2:22-24
