The PTA will be sending out our first member email (ETF - Electronic Thursday Folder) this week. Please be sure to check and see if you receive it. If not please contact Julie Harris to be sure we have the correct email. If you haven't joined yet it is certainly not too late. Just print the attached membership form and send it in with your student or visit the PTA website and sign up online. The top 3 classes with the most memberships will receive Amazon gift cards for their classroom. Thank you to all the families who have already joined the PTA. We appreciate your membership!
Child Care Available for Back to School Night!
The Belmont Station PTA has partnered up with InCourage Martial Arts for a Back to School Night Child Care program! Thursday, August 30th is the school's Parents Only Back to School Night for 1st -5th grade from 6:30-8pm. There will be two child care sessions available that will be held in our school gym. Parents can register for just one or both sessions. First session will be 6:15-7:15pm and the second 7:15-8:15pm. Any Student from Belmont Station may attend. There will be a variety of activities for your child to participate in. Cost is $10 per child/per session. All proceeds go to the Belmont Station PTA! Open House is coming! We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday the 21st from 2-3pm. This is an opportunity for all students to bring their school supplies and drop them off in the classroom while meeting your teacher. Be sure to stop by the PTA table and become a PTA member ($10) as well as pick up a spirit wear shirt (checks and cash). Additional information on After School Programs and more will be available. Finally, join us for Popsicles on the Playground from 3-4pm and visit with friends and BeST staff. The day will end for Kindergarten Parents with a parent only orientation at 6:30pm. Welcome Back!

Our school supply kits are expected to be in on August 14th (exact time TBD). We are looking for volunteers to help us deliver boxes to the classrooms on that day. If you can volunteer your time (older kids can help too) please let us know by commenting here. We we then be in touch once we confirm the specific delivery time.
As we begin to look towards our next school year, we would like to thank our PTA Board members who served the BeST community last year. We are so thankful for the time you spent with the staff, students and parents of Belmont Station. Tanya Farabaugh, Cortney Smith and Nell Janardhan you are forever stars in our book. If you see them, please be sure to say Thank You.

We are in need of someone to chair our Spirit Wear Committee. This person would work with vendors, track and reorder spirit wear inventory, fulfill spirit wear orders and assist selling spirit wear at PTA events. If interested contact Julie Harris at firstname.lastname@example.org
Did you know there will be a summer camp in July at Belmont Station? Mr. Webb will be leading the All Around Summer Camp the week of July 16th. If you are looking for a fun activity for your rising 3rd-5th graders check out the flyer. Registration is due July 13th. Forms and payments can be dropped in the office and online registration must be complete by the 13th.

Thank you to all the 4th grade parents who worked so hard to put together a wonderful 5th Grade Promotion for our students and their families. A special thank you goes to our PTA co-chairs Sarah Stark and Sofya Larrabee for coordinating the event. We also want to wish our rising 6th graders the very best as the move on to middle school. We know they will do GREAT!

It's hard to believe this school year is over. As we wrap up this year's programs and events we are looking forward to getting started on the 2018-2019 school year. Please take a moment to reflect on the year and complete our end of the year survey.

Wow what a night! Thank you to all the families who came out to the BeST Family Carnival last night! We saw so many smiles we think it was a hit. It was hot...but a hit! Thank you to the parents who stepped in to volunteer, the middle school and high school students who spent their Friday night with us, all the teachers who helped set up, run stations, got very wet in the dunk tank, and took on the task to clean up. We can not do events like these without your help. We are very appreciative of the time you give. We would also like to give a special shout out to Tanayha McLeod for coordinating such a great vendor alley! The ponies, bubbles, art projects, science experiments, computer games and more were fantastic! What a great way to end an amazing year at BeST! Thank you for supporting the PTA!
We will see you at the carnival...TODAY from4-7pm! The weather is going to be great. All children 2 and up will need a wristband. They can be purchased at admissions by the playground. Will Call pick up for pre-paid wristbands will also be at the admission location. Pizza will be available at 4:30pm. JRs italian Ice will also be onsite as part of our concessions. Lots of games, music and fun will be had. See you there!

Attention 5th Grade Parents! 5th Grade Promotion is around the corner! Promotion lunch order forms are due by Monday, 5/21. Please be sure to mark an order for your child’s complimentary lunch, which is a 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 salad. Adult lunch selections are either full sandwich OR full salad.
