Hole # 13 PAR 4- 451 yds
Jack Nicklaus- “This is another one of my favorites at Creighton Farms. The views from the tee box on this downhill par 4 are simply stunning. Don’t be distracted though as the tee shot here is crucial. The landing area is in a valley guarded by large bunkers to both sides. A well struck tee shot should leave you with a short to mid iron for one of the most challenging approach shots on the course. The long narrow green complex is guarded by a pond in front and is angled away from you. The safe play is toward the left side of the green where errant shots will collect in the grass hollow from where you have a pitch and putt for par.”
Here at Creighton Farms, you can create a home that includes all the features today’s most discriminating buyers are looking for. Today, September 23rd is Golf Course Superintendent Day.
We want to take the time to thank Matthew Zarnstorff and his team for all of their hard work each and every day. Majority of the work is done without anyone seeing, before the first tee shot is hit each day, and after the last putt is holed. It is an honor to have Matt and his team apart of our family for over a decade. Make sure to say thank you to your golf course superintendent when you see them next! #ThankASuper
Did you know that Creighton Farms is Audubon Certified?
What is the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses?
The Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses (ACSP) is an environmental education and certification program that helps golf courses protect the environment, preserve the natural heritage of the game of golf, and gain recognition for their efforts. Through collaborative efforts begun in 1991 with the United States Golf Association, membership in the ACSP has steadily grown to include more than 2,300 golf courses in the United States and three dozen countries worldwide.
How does it work?
The ACSP assists each golf course member to take stock of its environmental resources and any potential liabilities, and then develop a plan that fits its unique setting, goals, staff, budget, and time. Audubon International provides information to help golf course personnel with six key environmental components:
• Environmental Planning
• Wildlife and Habitat Management
• Chemical Use Reduction and Safety
• Water Conservation
• Water Quality Management
• Outreach and Education
HOLE #12 Par 4- 433 yds
This medium-length uphill par 4 plays longer than the yardage despite being downwind most of the time. A well struck tee shot will hug the left-hand side of the fairway and/or carry the bunker complex on the left leaving a short to mid iron shot up a severe grade to a false-front green that’s framed by the tree-lined hillside. Most will finish the hole, turn around, and see the best view on the course! Quick mental break before you tackle the remaining six holes.

HOLE 11 - Par 5 618 yds
This hole is a birdie hole if you keep your wits about you. Though it looks like a long par 5 on the scorecard, it plays downhill and usually downwind. Big hitters, if they’re brave, may give it a go in two but they’ll have to carry the creek that runs in front of the green. Picturesque from the tee box to the green, this is our members favorite Par 5 on the course.

HOLE # 10 Par 4 455yds
The 10th is a great hole to start that back nine, that can play long if the wind is against you, which it often is there. It’s a challenging tee shot because you want to favor the left side of the fairway, but if you go too far left you can wind up in trouble. The approach shot is pretty straightforward if you’re accurate but the green has a fair amount of undulation, so you want to stick your approach shot close if you can. Very difficult greenside bunkers guard the front left and entire right side of the green. Aim for the middle of the green, you do not want to get cute with your approach shot here!

Decisions, Decisions! Which Tee Markers are you playing? We offer a great compliment of four sets of tees, along with the combination tees for Men and Women, allowing for six total yardages on our scorecard. Did you know, these markers were made from the wood off property? 💪🏼 @ Creighton Farms
HOLE # 8 - Par 4 477yds ———————————————————————— The 8th hole is a devilish par 4 that plays uphill off the tee to one of the highest points on the property, then back downhill toward the green, with wetlands coming into play on both sides of the fairway. If you reach the top of the bluff with your tee shot, you’ll have a great view – and a good chance of finding the putting surface with your second.
HOLE # 7 - Par 5 590yds
This hole, the course’s second par 5, is a bit more demanding than the first one. The fairway is protected by a large lake on the left and two sentinel trees on the right. If you can find the fairway with your drive, then it’s decision time. Do you try to carry the wetlands area with your second shot and set up a short pitch to the green, or lay up? Only the biggest hitters will have any chance of reaching this green in two. For everyone else, par will be a good score. #holebyhole #flyover
Happy Easter from our Family to Yours 🐰
HOLE # 6 - Par 3 180 yds
In tribute to The Masters, here is the description of Hole # 6 by the 6-time Masters Champion, Jack Nicklaus
“The 6th is the first par 3 on the course – and also the shortest (as of 2018). Don’t let that fool you. Although it only plays some 160 yards from the back tees (new back tee added in 2018 at 180 yards) this little hole can bite you. The prevailing wind is left-to-right here, which forces shots toward the creek that nestles up to the right side of the green. It’s a large green, though, so you should be able to hit the green, and as long as your putting game’s sharp, it should be a hole most players can par”

HOLE # 5- Par 4 427yds
Hit it through the uprights! As you stand on the tee, you will see off in the distance a shape of what looks to be a field goal post, just like in football. The blind tee shot will lead you to a downhill lie for your second shot to a demanding green. Narrow at the front, widening to the back with multiple tiers for hole locations. Good-luck on this beautiful Par 4, take a good score and head to the first Par 3 on the course. #holebyhole #creightonfarms

HOLE 4- Par 4 480 yards
Decisions, decisions….which line do you take? This demanding Par 4 will test you with all facets of your game. Pick the right line depending on which Tee Box you are playing. Play right of the lake and have a long iron down the hill to a green that cuts from left to right. Play left over the water and have a wedge to short iron into the green. This hole tends to be the one of the holes that can bite you. After the first three holes, hopefully you started off nicely, coming to the fourth hole, take a Par and head off to the Par 4 5th hole….Goodluck! @ Creighton Farms
HOLE # 3 Par 5 - 528 yards
Welcome to the first Par 5 on the course! This tee shot requires you to favor the left side of the fairway, but making sure not to go too far as multiple bunker complexes guard the fairway. Place yourself in good position and you can give it a go in two. Uphill the entire hole, left to right lie, to a green that is three times as wide as it is deep. On your second shot, favor the left side again to allow yourself a good look at the entire green. Hopefully you are able to conquer this hole and move onto the hardest tee shot on the course in Hole # 4
Happy Birthday to Mrs. Barbara Nicklaus! Thank you for all of your support, love and hard work for our annual Creighton Farms Invitational
“The legacy you leave here on earth is measured by the hearts you touch”- Barbara Nicklaus @ Creighton Farms
HOLE # 2 Par 4- 353 yards
Staying true to a Signature Jack Nicklaus design, Hole #2 seems as though it will be a simple short Par 4. Think again! You have many options off the tee here: play short of the cross bunkers, hit a draw to the left side of the fairway, or blast it over the cross bunkers and be just short of the green. All options come with their own rewards, but with either choice, you can make birdie or double bogey. Our selection is to lay up just short of the cross bunkers and leave yourself with 100-120 yards into the green. If you take driver and hit it left, a penalty area comes into play rather quickly. Regardless on where the hole location is, aim for the middle of the green. Other than Hole 14, this is the smallest green on the course. Hope your wedge game is dialed in as you open your round, if so, you may move onto the short Par 5 third hole with a good score.
HOLE # 1 - Par 4 415 Yards
This opening Par 4 is visually demanding off the tee, but surprisingly open on the tee shot. As long as you can carry past the large fairway bunker complex on the left, the fairway opens up nicely to receive your tee shot. The approach shot is a difficult one as you need to favor the right side of the green. A deep bunker guards the entire left side of the green, making it a difficult up and down if you do get caught in it. Favoring the right side will kick the ball left onto the green. Still, a solid two putt is needed on this undulating green complex. Take your Par here and move onto the short Par 4 2nd Hole (more to come!)
