Dougherty County Public Library will remain closed until further notice due to the Coronavirus pandemic. This decision has been made considering all the best advice from federal, state, and local public health officials. In the meantime, we’re busy answering phones, deep cleaning, sanitizing, and updating our collections with materials for you to enjoy once we reopen.

Physical items can remain with you until we reopen without penalty or fines. Due dates of all materials that were due to return after March 15, 2020, have been extended so access to accounts will not be denied for overdue materials. Holds will be available when the library reopens.

In order make our free online resources and services available to everyone in our community, we are offering temporary digital library cards.

While our libraries are physically closed, we encourage everyone to access our online databases and downloadable content. Our online offerings include: eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, tutoring, research material, language learning, and genealogy materials.

Please visit www.docolib.org to find these materials or to apply for a digital library card. Anybody wishing to have access to our Wi-Fi should be able to get a signal from any of our library parking lots in their vehicles.

Patrons may call their local branches during this time or email us at:
Service Questions: [email protected],
Adult Services: [email protected],
Youth Services: [email protected].

The Library’s page is well monitored and questions can be asked there as well. If you have trouble accessing accounts or materials, please reach out to the above email addresses for help.

TL;DR: We’re closed until further notice. We know you have enough to worry about right now. Don't worry about your library items. 📚❤️ During our closure, know that we are working hard on ways to connect with you online. Reach out to us here on Facebook or go to our website at www.docolib.org
