As the current owner of one of your department's former ambulance vehicles -- an impressive 1973 Miller-Meteor Cadillac Volunteer 48" which served there, or at least was retained and stored at the County Fairgrounds, I was told, until approximately 1989 -- I thought I would pass along and share a few images of what the vehicle looks like today...

We will encourage the initial and continuing medical education of the volunteer staff and stay abreast of the ever-changing scopes of practice for our EMTs. We will strive to promote and foster better prehospital intervention for patients and families and work on prehospital issues as they relate to our regional trauma advisory council. Washington County Nursing Home

Just to clarify for some confusion I've been hearing. This is for Washington County residents. This is happening to the east of the nursing home-not in the nursing home or in the administrative building. This is a drive thru testing; people will not be exiting their vehicles. Hope this helps clarify things. Any questions please ask.

Who: Washington County Residents, Age 18 and above only
When: June 25th and June 26th from 10:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.
Where: In front of the Washington County Nursing Home Administration Building, 650 Green House Drive, Akron Colorado 80720
Come in from 4th Street and you will exit to Fremont Street in Akron
Cost: FREE, there is NO charge! First Come, First Serve
Please help Washington County open more venues. It’s all about numbers – Washington County needs to perform more random testing of COVID-19 to prove to the Northeast Colorado Health Department that our low rate of residents with COVID-19 is in compliance with the variances that have been granted and for future variances. These variances will allow Washington County to have MORE people attend the Fair, attend entertainment venues, and open up businesses. Currently the County would like to test between 150 and 200 people. You do not need to be a town resident and you do not need to have symptoms.

Thank you East Morgan County Hospital for you thoughtful gift!

Big THANK YOU to WY Communications for sending us this fantastic treat for EMS Week! We appreciate your support, hard work and dedication!

It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the loss of one of our own. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her friends and family.
